Ulloa to Southampton for £6.5m?

Hi is.

NSChatters talk of £10m. LCFC want to pay £3.5m. It will interesting to see where the market decides in his eventual transfer. Much nearer the £3.5m I would guess.

We've already turned a third bid of £5m from Leicester.

Still astonished that Brighton now have players that can be mentioned in the same sentence as £6.5 million. We've come a long way (baby).

Have Leicester offered their final bid yet? If not I could see them trying to outdo Saints, but then Saints are as desperate for attacking players as we are now that Lambert and Lallana have moved on. As someone said above, this should be an interesting bidding war.

Sorry to be pedantic but I wasn't aware that Lallana had moved on yet. ( I know everyone is saying done deal but Saints are holding out for more )

Only the DIMWITS think he's a slow, immobile lump. I suspect it'll end up at about £8m & a good deal for all

Agreed a cracking player at our level but if he goes for upwards of 6.5 million we would have to let him go. People will moan like crazy and sure he'll be hard to replace but add the transfers of Bridcutt, Barnes, potentially Walton and the release of a handful of high earners there is the potential of offering our new manager a very healthy budget to work with whilst helping to adhere to FFP.

We already need 2 strikers.

Let Leo go and we need 3 !
Wow! That's some mathematical brain you have there.

Be honest, did you work that out on your own, or did you cheat and use a calculator?

Assuming he does go, then it would me Soton have the money and the incentive to go for Ulloa. Also, has anyone considered where he would prefer to move to? Along the coast to the Solent and play for a club that has survived the past few seasons in the Premiership, or up to the East Mids to play for a club that may well get relegated soon after promotion?

I suspect all that money from transfers has been swallowed up for FFP or other things.

Who cares.

Our sriking and goal keeping options look critically thin without being so keen to let Leo go.

Footballers seldom think like that. It will be a question of which club is offering him and his agent the best money, after which the player will be shown holding up a club scarf or wearing a shirt, and burbling about the "great project" that the chief executive/chairman/manager has sold him.

Isn't all this discussion a moot point anyway? When did the club last disclose a fee?

I suspect all that money from transfers has been swallowed up for FFP or other things.

As has been said before, we offered 1mill for Clayton, 1.2million for Grabban, 250k for Williams and none came in Jan.Off the back of 10 TEN first team/loan players leaving at end of season, AND money in from Barnes, El ABD and Bridcutt, it is safe to say we DO have cash to spend.

we are on track for FFP so money in Should and would go to new managers war chest as best as possible if we ar going to rebuild squad for crack at top 6..

I was playing football in the playground with my kids yesterday. We were passing the ball round and taking shots. I was giving a running commentary - Greer to Calderon, up to Crofts, etc. Found it very hard to do without accidentally bringing in the name of a released/loaned player. Kept getting bogged down with Stephens passing it to Calderon. Hopefully we'll have some new names to conjure with in a couple of months, but tough at the moment.
