Not sure i could cope with the inadequacy of not being English but if i had to choose it's Viva Espana for me!
I am 100% English. I'm in no way proud of it because as far as I'm concerned it's like saying I'm proud of being a human being. Why? its not like you have worked at it. It's like when they praise good looking people for being good looking, why praise someone because their genes make them aesthetically pleasing. I like England, the good parts of it are very dear to me but I must say I have never gone in for all this nationalistic fervour. All seems a bit forced to me.
However my experience of the Irish tells me that they are a bit cockish. Saying that that is only the ones I meet at Uni. They used to constantly tell us how shit England was, how shit the people are and how great Ireland is. So why come to university in England? God knows.

Personally couldn't give a monkeys left testicle about St Patricks Day. I'm English so why should I ? It's a constant annoyance to me that St Patricks Day is a bigger celebration in this country that St George's Day. Apart from possibly the good old USofA, I can't think of another country where their own national day is celebrated less than another country's.
