How can this be a sensible way to prepare for a season? Spend 6 weeks with a suspended manager And then potentially the next 2-3 weeks doing nothing re new players or resigning players...? All teams look very active with their transfer business APART from us... It concerns me that we hear Nothing from OG in relation to thoughts and plans and all the time we are meant to happily continue as if this is all NORMAL.. Again reminds me of when Hinshelwood was appointed, didn't get players in and the rest as they say is History...

I guess that we dont hear from OG may have something to do with the appeal, but I do agree that we are behind In terms of improving the squad which is weaker as it stands.

There cannot be any link to the appeal, surely? Sacking Poyet and bringing OGJ in means the 2 processes are separate. OGJ is free to bring in / sell whoever he and David Burke want now. They need to get a move on.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see deals start to happen next week once the first friendly is out of the way.

I'm not saying that OG will suddenly decide after Saturday that his squad lacks depth and needs instant improvement, but what it may do is make his mind up as to which targets to persue and which ones to leave for a while.

Two defenders, 2 central midfielders, and some sort of attacking option (whether it be a striker/winger/ACM) would be ideal in my opinion. Oh and keeping Bridders is an absolute MUST.
