And the little bugger's gone and got itself stuck under the floorboards.
Mischief the cat caught it in the loft yesterday early evening after I'd forgotten to close the loft-hatch, and after 10 minutes of panic flying / chasing / banging against the window in the bedroom below, the poor old sparrow found the one hole we've got in the floorboards and plopped down into it, never to be seen again.
It's probably dead now and beginning to rot somewhere under foot.
Is there anyway I can find and fish it out without having to remove all the upstairs carpets, furniture and pulling up all the bloody floorboards?
Or can I just leave it? Will a small dead house sparrow leave a nasty stink?
