My mate's cousin is working with Pete Townshend and reliably informs me that PT is seeing how some whizzy new device to contol his ear problems works out before commiting to any more shows. They are playing the RAH on 30th March and will wait to see if that breaks his ears first.

Hope you're right....

Spoke to my good friend Roger Daltrey this afternoon and he informs me that
The Who will be playing at Glastonbury next summer. Strong posibility that The Rolling Stones will be the headline act on the final night. It might be a bit Too Middle class for some people though.
I spoke to my good friend Michael Jagger who says this is not the case.

This line up is embarrassing compared to last years! Comparing the headliners - Springsteen, Neil Young and Blur to this years - U2, Muse and Wonder, there's no contest!

In your opinion, maybe.

Besides, only fools go to Glastonbury soley for the big, headline acts.

True, my opinion, but I do think that Muse and Stevie Wonder are pretty uninspiring choices anyway, and as far as I'm concerned U2 are one of the most repulsive acts on the planet so obviously not going to get much from them. I was just using the headliners as an example, I still think the rest of the bill is fairly weak.

as wozza says, if you're going to glastonbury to sit in front of the main stage all weekend waiting for the headliners then you're massively wasting your time!

that said, i'd think stevie wonder would be pretty special...

Didn't see anything on the main stage last time I went. Only thing I saw on the Other Stage was Super Furries I think. It's a MASSIVE waste of time.

Without wishing to sound rude...are you headmental?! I'd give my left bollock and ten years of my life to see stevie wonder(providing, of course, that I couldn't actually just buy a ticket to see him...). The man's a genius. A genuine, bona fide musical genius. There is no one alive who can come close to him. If he was the only artist playing that weekend the ticket price would still be a bargain. If I was in England and had decided not to go to glastonbury and then found out he was playing I'd be in the deepest, darkest pit of despair and despondancy the human mind could imagine.

*there might be some slight exageration in this post, but not much...*

Correction, U2 are THE most repulsive band on the planet.

Stevie Wonder, however, is untouchable

I think Stevie Wonder at the fest is a GREAT headliner.

I'm not one for headliners at Glasto generally but if I get the chance I will be making an effort to see Stevie Wonder do his thing. That's the sort of thing you can tick off the list of true geniuses you've experienced.

On a separate note has anyone seen that THE bob Dylan is headlining a festival in Paddock Wood (near Sevenoaks) along with Ray Davies and Seasick Steve among others.

If you ask me that's pretty f***ing impressive for something so small time (it's only one day)
