Southern used to stuff up once, maybe twice a fortnight when I was travelling to London, and yes although I paid around £3200 for the pleasure of their service, it was often not their fault.
It did suprise me when I first came to this land how poor the transport services were, but to drag an archaic track and rolling stock system to the modern era is going to take more than a few years. But its better than nothing!
I nearly didn't get off at Shoreham the first time I came here as I didn't realize you had to open the doors yourself (slam door train)!
Luckily someone behind me shoved me out of the way and opened it whilst looking at me weirdly!!
