I understand what you are saying Steve.

It will fit in my car but Ned cant go as he is working.

I would need at least 3 people to help me IF I agreed to take it.
It does mean not going to the pub for a drink though and organising car parking.

I'll think it over but if anyone else wants to make the effort then I'll stand back with pleasure.

It is September 11th, after all. If the flag doesn't go to another game all season, it really should make this one.

I am not able to help in any way to transport it, but there must be people that can.

Please? :)

Following our recent results I can see a massive Albion turnout for this game and filling most of the Vicarage Road Stand so there may not be room for it.

If it does go, I am unable to help transport it there also.

Albion & England forever.

Totally in agreement. I'm at a loss with regard to transport though as it's probably too big to take on a train and lug the 25 minutes (plus pub time) to the ground.

It doesn't have to be laid out anywhere. I think the main idea for it is to go over peoples heads before the game and then be rolled(?) up ready to be taken back after the game.

From what I can remember in the past, it's usually carried on one of the coaches (it can fit in luggage hold with no problems).

The only issues seem to be with transporting it to and from the ground, which I appreciate is probably a bit of a pain in the arse. Apparently this went a bit tits-up after the play-off final.

Yes. With the result that one - yes 1 - person ended up lugging it through the streets on their own for much of the way and consequently the bag is in tatters.

If anyone can get hold of a "Travis Perkins" type bag and drop it off at the hut at Withdean sometime it would be appreciated.

No it usually goes in someone's car. As far as I can remember it has only gone in the coach once and that was for Cardiff.

Plenty of people saying it should go but noone offering to help?

Same as usual

If we don't watch it we'll all fall out soon over this.

Facts:

The date is significant - agreed

No-one is offering to take the flag - agreed

There prbably won't be room as many fans are going - agreed

Let's drop the subject perhaps.

You what?! This thread's been up an hour and a half. I'd say there's plenty of time for someone to offer to take it.

As for there being no room, there will be loads of room above the heads of two thousand or so Albion fans. Remember, that's what the flag was bought to DO, not just be laid out to cover empty seats.

You want to calm down a bit and sort out your picture posting skills. :jester:

I'll speak to Watford and get their permission.

Yes, things went a bit tits up at Cardiff and we LOST the flag...

Happily it was FOUND and returned to Withdean but I've been informed it's no longer in the usual hut round the west side of the stadium so if anyone goes there to collect it DO NOT PANIC as it's not there.... :D

It's apparently in the External Stewards' Hut on the EAST side of the stadium behind the catering van
