Ok

Biscuit has offered to help me. I can get it there in the car and offload it whilst I park the car (with someone to watch it doesn't get nicked)

I need two more people to help me carry it.

If I get two names and permission via DP from Watford(I have a copy of the fire certificate) then it will go.

If Watford say yes - do you think it's worth someone from the REMF (Gareth?) dropping their press office an e-mail to explain what the flag means.

As it's Sept 11th they may wish to put something in their programme.

So Yorkie - all the people above saying "it must go" and who are going by train could meet you there and help?

Wonder if they'll be coming forward?

???

I doubt it because it means not going to the pub for a drink.

Perhaps I am being harsh but where do people's priorities lie?

Jesus Christ, get off your f***ing high horse, will you?

I have stated two things. Firstly that I think the flag should go to Watford, and secondly that I am not able to help with its transportation. Simple and easy to understand. If I didn't think there were people available to take the thing (like the people that OWN it) then I wouldn't have said anything.

As it is, there are people to help. Now, some people are happy to merely offer help without thanks or adulation, and there are those that feel the need to make a song and dance about every little thing they do and like EVERYBODY to know what a FANTASTIC fan they are. Somehow this makes them better than certain others.

It's BOLLOCKS. We've all been there, we've all done things for this club that our friends have turned around and said "you're mad" for doing. Some of us make fifty games a season, some of us make just a few. That doesn't make anyone better than anyone else, because if they've signed the petitions, put up posters or sent an email then they're all fighting for the same cause.

I said I think the flag should go to Watford. Did you even THINK of it before anything was said? Probably not, but now you're donning your Superfan cape and all of a sudden we're the bad ones for going on the train and not offering to help. Bunch of arse.

10,000 posts of worldly advice, or 10,000 posts of sanctimonious SHITE? I know which way I'm leaning.

Yes Steve on this occasion I am on my high horse.

Tomorrow I am going to a memorial service for a friend of mine who was aged 37 and an Albion fan who dropped dead 3 weeks ago leaving two kids and a wife.

There are those who talk and there are those that do.

As an edit, yes, it had crossed my mind about Watford. I have only just got the day off work next week (I have to work Sats now)
I took the flag to Peterborough and to Bristol City and didn't make a song and dance about it as you say.
I don't deserve your sarcastic and nasty comments Steve and you know it.

I did say there was a danger of everyone falling out over this

Relax, everyone.

It's very easy to get a car close to the away fans entrance at Vicarage Road. So all we need is Watford's permission and one willing group of people to collect it, drive it there and bring it back.

I can't believe that will be a problem.

Donning my superfan cape, I picked up the flag and returned it to Withdean for the first REMF match. Even for two fine specimens of manhood like Virgo's Haircut (formerly known as Grovers) and myself it was fecking heavy and would suggest that Yorkie would need a couple of similarly muscular and adonis like people (if they exist) to assist her.
