Brighton factually.....
Maybe it's that we've lost 4 of last seasons most influential players? Bridge, Bridcutt, Orlandi and recently Ulloa. You take 4 of the best players out of any team in the country and they're going to suffer a dip in form it stands to reason.

Correct Mr British Bulldog.....

However the only problem is that "reason" is not what NSC does best.....

Am pleased you are not panicking. It will take time to get things going again - remember Gus's few games in charge in League 1 and the booing after Bournemouth, for example, and the runs of poor form after good starts in the championship seasons. We have had some good results already (QPR and Reading), home form is a concern but we do have an enormous injury list and Oscar is trying to shuffle half a deck at the moment.

You say the honeymoon is over - but like any marriage, it takes time for people to work together and gel as a unit. Be confident things will improve - the worst thing we can do is for the BHA family to get divided and we end up in a premature divorce! (**Crappy marriage analogy over**) :)

I agree, and let's not forget Gus had also spent a huge portion of his career in England, so understood the mentality etc. Got to give Oscar some time. I'm actually pleased he's looking at his entire squad and testing out different formations. Didn't work last night, but even then we had enough chances in the first half especially to win it, despite not playing well.

We also kept going when clearly it was an off day for the majority of the team, and got an important point at the end of the day.

Other than their goal (which had already gone out...), I thought defensively we still look sound with Greer particularly good. We just need to gel that midfield unit, which I am sure will come with time.

I think too many people thought we were just going to give Wednesday a good hiding because of their league position, but actually they've had good away draws at M'Boro, Leeds, draws at home to Millwall and Yeovil, and only lost by the 1 goal to inform Burnley and QPR. Birmingham away has been their only really poor result. They weren't pretty, but they were well organised, and played for each other.

Onwards on upwards I say, the Oscar project continues, I'm still very confident we'll start putting together good runs of results.

I'm frustrated by Oscar's recent selections of out of form / unfit players when better options were available but will judge him properly once he has had a run of games with Bridcutt, Orlandi, Ulloa in the team. A fit CMS to torment tiring defenders will be a bonus too, his energy is badly missed.

Once fit and on form our squad is as good as most in the Championship.

I think that's the thing that's annoying me. He has had a hard-time with injury, but he constantly picks unfit or out of form players when there are others with less ability but would do a better job for that particular game.

It is frustrating watching out of form and unfit players but in fairness Oscar's hands have been pretty much tied this season with team selections because of the injury list, Hopefully at some point this season Oscar will get the chance to field all our best players in the same team.

I agree. The only player I might have put in is Ince instead of Bruno with Lopez out wide. Buckley is not going to make it through 46 games for us, so with Forest on Saturday, it was right he was rested in my opinion. Oscar has to take a look at his entire squad and what they are capable of. Sometimes that won't work out, but hopefully he will have learnt some positives from it.

He's been restricted by injuries, but why hasn't March been given some games? He looked fit and in form at the start of the season. Ince has only played four or five.

Neither here nor there
I'm quite realistic about this season and don't expect to finish fourth again. We've had a lot of upheaval and we need to settle. I'll give Oscar time to get it right and I'm sure most fans will do the same.

What worried me last night was how quickly we resorted to aimless long balls. That's not "plan B", that's just players failing to take responsibility. We should have been able to beat a poor Wednesday side with our natural passing game, but the players looked lost. I couldn't see any leaders out there, someone to really get our rhythm going and dictate play. Kemi had a go, when he came on, but his own passing was far too wayward.

Is it just a case of players being unsure of what is expected of them under the new regime? Do we just need Bridcutt back?

Some people have very short memories of what happened last season, in the ledup to the New Year there were several poor performances and very strange team selections when we looked anything but a good side. Then it seemed for some reason to click and the team climned the table but we know what happened at the end when it fell apart. Now with a new manager it's going to take time, mainly because he wants to play in a different way and some of the players maynot be up to it, so if people think we're going to easily get to the playoffs they need to take a hard look at the current squad and calm down.

I'm sure March will get his chances this season but obviously at the moment he's not deemed ready to dislodge the likes of Buckley, LuaLua and Conway, Ince has done well when he's played but he's currently in his first season as a defensive midfielder so you can't expect too much too soon from him so understudy to Andrews is probably about right.
