Busted are quite unique for a teen / boy band in that

A. The can play a musical instrument
B. The write original material and not just cover versions

I wouldn't buy an album as I think a 41 year old man would look a little foolish having Busted blasting out of his car stereo.

Busted suck! Muse are great! The Darkness are overblown crocks of shit! The "crowd" numbered somewhere in their twenties! The brits blow chunks!

Speaking of which, I did physically wretch when "Dr" Fox (should that be "cocks"?) did his bit....

There was not a single moment of redemption last night, and although i expected it to be crap, and was fully prepped to rip the piss out of it, I had a far more entertaining time cleaning the bathroom! Particularly when I sprayed on the mega strength cleaner and neglected to open a window....

mmmmm...... hallucinogeniccy.......

A. They can?

B. What the f*** is original about their music?

Gonna echo thoughts that The Darkness should never have got anywhere near any awards but it just shows how out of touch the Brits are nowadays.

The only people that actually really deserved anything they won last night were the Basement Jaxx and Timberlake and possibly the White Stripes.

Miss Tique, Gwen Stefani and Alicia Keyes utterly murdered "Kiss" by Price, even altering the lyrics to "you don't have to be rich to be my BOY, you don't have to be cool to bring me JOY" (GAAAAH, please, just leave the classics to the real maestros). Even Beyonce's thighs didn't look as slender and delicious as normal, perhaps the camera angles were unkind. They put her on straight after some goons in SKELETON costumes...I kid you not.

It wasn't MisTique it was Missy Elliot!

Still a load of bollox though

Too make my evening even worse last night...

After the Brits, my housemate flicked to the Hallmark channel (I think) where a 2 hour documentary on 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin was just beginning........

It was a dark night for TV - I've never done so much cleaning!!!

if you look at the credits on their album, you'll find they didn't play shit.

muse were the highlight last nite i though, and how ON EARTH whether you like them or not can you say the darkness mimed?!!!!? when you say 'unplugged' guitars, i think you'll find they were wearing remote units so they could move around a bit...

It's a shame that Missy Elliot does these stoopid things, she's an extremely talented women. Of course, the productionby Timbaland helps her along the way but she breathed a lot of fresh air into the hip hop scene with her last album.

That doesn't mean JACK. That was still their bloody CD blaring out of the speakers, they were NOT playing those instruments, and they were NOT singing it Live. Even if there had been wires trailing everywhere, it was so obviously cut in a studio and played on the night. I was desperately willing a Milli Vanilli-type technical fault. That would have redeemed the entire evening.

if that was there cd blaring out the speakers, it would've sounded a helluva lot better than that..

Wise words on this thread. The thing about the darkness, surely, is that they are a novelty act in the same way as the Barren Knights and the Heebeegeebees were. It really is coming to a pretty pass when a novelty act wins three awards. I wonder what their next incarnation will be. As new romantics? I couldn't decide whether the biggest embarrassment of the night was the really excruciating bit before 50cent came on stage (it was SO true to life - just like the Bill) or John Taylor still sporting the same hairstyle even though he is clearly going the same way as Max Wall. How much botox has Simon LeBon got in his face? I turned over to Faking it at 9pm. It was excellent telly. Deeley would get it, though.

I don't think Easy meant the studio album... maybe recorded "live" the previous weekend.

The 50 cent bit was comical... I swear one of the "cops" was looking for them under a small broken chair after they "busted out"!

Utter gash of the highest order!
