This will be a great win for Sunderland if they hang on, considering they have been dreadful all season while Newcastle have actually played pretty decently so far this season and have particularly played well away from home with wins at Cardiff and Aston Villa. Added to which, Sunderland normally have a wretched record against Newcastle when they are playing at home to them.

I hope they are 5th bottom at Christmas and then perhaps Gus wont cherry pick any of our players in January.

I hope you are right because having watched that performance I can (sadly) see Bridcutt and Ulloa enhancing the Sunderland squad. OK it was a great win but they don't have many striking options and don't keep possession very well.
