Sebastian Boenisch looked good the couple times I saw him but odd someone linked him, guessing just because at Sami's old club? Think top of champ is his level if wants to start every game at 27 years old before he misses his 'chance'. Would be a bench player in lower half of Prem unless he gets in right system and finally plays regularly. Polish international at times but not a strong player for them don't think.

Here's a piece in the Wolverhampton Express and Star about the left back that Kenny Jackett prefers to Stephen Ward ; Scott Golbourne.
He was a "stand out performer" in League One...
“The game and the system we play all suit him – he’s a modern-day full-back with attacking qualities and his running and his standard of fitness is unbelievable
He really can get up and down the left-hand side.”
They signed him for £700K from Barnsley via

Stephen Ward has had a medical for #bhafc, terms not fully agreed as yet but expect to be done very soon.

This is from someone that says he's an agent, but also mentioned one rumour was from his 'mate'. Anyway, do people have medicals without agreeing terms!?

Would he really need a medical after being here all last season?

Yes, it's done for insurance purposes. For reference see LuaLua having (and failing) a medical when we signed him from Newcastle despite having been on loan at us before.

The name rings a bell. I must have noted his performances above average before.

Stephen ward medical done

Stephen ward medical completed. Rival offers can still come in at the very last minute and scupper the deal and final details need to be signed off but looking very likely within next 24 hrs to be announced as a deal done.
