What school did you go to? The best we got for pudding in the sixties at Lewes Boys’ Grammar, was pink custard on a steamed pudding.Agree about the triumph of shopping quote. I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth though, and am rarely excited by the dessert offering. Things which do excite me are old school desserts like creme brûlée, trifle or treacle tart. I did have an apple ice cream with white apple chocolate a few months back; that was great. Otherwise it’s some rank cheeses.

I answered all three but should add that taking Semaglutide diminishes my appetite so I find sharing a starter and a sweet with Mrs SS provides for an enjoyable and satisfying portion size.And “no, I’m not sharing”
