If they had a better physio, er, manager, then they might actually achieve something next year.

Pound for Pound spent, VERY underwhelming indeed.

The Albion were on the back foot for long stretches. We really are very vulnerable to teams that run at us. If SCC had brought their shooting boots they could easily have had four or five.

They were the best team at Withers this season without a doubt. I was just frustrated that we gave them too much respect and let them dictate the play. Id rather we just went all out attack with Noone starting.

My thoughts too. Thought they pressed us well but was disappointed with how early we dropped off in the second half and let them come at us. Disappointed to lose but the better team won on the day.

I've seen better opposition at the Withdean this season

Who?
I thought southampton were about the best i've seen down here apart from peterborough, but we had nothing to play for today, might have been different if we needed a result

Wasn't impressed at all. We let them come at us for most of the game. We've played a million times better than them for the most part this season.
You see, you start off sounding reasonable then you go and shoot yourself in the foot with a ridiculous comment like that. Sounds like sour grapes. What you have been is much more consistent - that is the difference.

do you not agree that Brighton are the best team in League one? Simple question, yes or no?

Comfortably the best team we have played this season. Very solid at the back and in midfield. Suspect they missed Barnard too, although we missed Greer. I would say overall as a team they are as good as us BUT clearly they have a problem raising their game against inferior teams and we don't which is why we are so far clear at the top. I would say they have to blame their manager for that. Tosser that he is.

I think that we lacked having the impetus and fight to get at them and as they were a big side that would pump ball sinto the box it was obvious that they were would score eventually. Thought their no 5 Dickson looked a good player on the left hand siode, better than Harding and it must be remembered that Jaidiis on as much wages as our combined back four according to Gus. So what did you expect from such a big strong side reliant on long balls into the box.

We have seen plenty of teams raise their game lately to play the runaway champions of the league, stains cup final was today - a fact underlined by the sold out away end. Had they lost today the playoff lottery was looming large on the horizon, that alone gave their players an edge IMHO. Irrespective of what gus says about 100 points etc we have done the jobs of promotion and the title - we looked like we were not as sharp today in a big way and when muzza went off things only looked worse. I am so glad that promotion is wrapped up

I was impressed with them. They've got some class players. I'd have their two centre halfs over ours, Lambert is better than what we have.

What they lack is a manager. As I said in another thread, put Poyet in charge of them, and they'd have been up by Christmas.

The difference in the sides is the managers. We have the best you manager in the game who has taken a relgation threaten side and with a few additions got them promoted at a canter.... they have a complete muppet, which is good for us, as if they had a manager on a scale of ability of 1-10, say a 2 instead of Atkins (whos clearly a big fat 0), we may have had a tougher ride this season.

They didn't look special to me, but we were poor in the second half, defending far too deep.

They wanted it more. They played well. Didn't see anything amazing about them.

I agree. I think Gus is right though - there style of play is just lump it to fatty. I thought a draw would have been fairly fair but i did think SCC edged it. Shame their fans were outsung by J and H bock

I am pretty sure they sold out the away end because they have one of the bigger away followings in the division. I would guess bigger than ours on average.

Also, I actually think Adkins is a good manager. There season was MESSED before he took over.

But he's right - we have.

Honestly people say they have seen better, who exactly? They are the second best team in this league by a mile, and if we had a few of their players like Lallana and Lambert, we'd be about 30 clear and unbeaten. I think as a group of 11 individuals they have us beaten in most areas of the pitch, but clearly the struggle to raise them selves for some games (I think Rochdale will be very grateful for the 6 points)
