wigman said:i didnt get a ticket for the west ham game , but as i have said on here before that did not bother me! but i know quite a few people who did and have not visited the withdean this season.
if you go to an away game then that is not putting money in to the club! and to come to the next game against millwall where they were handing out scarfs free to people who bought 1 match ticket but were charging 2pound 50p for sths was wrong. again the scarf thing didnt bother me as i have quite a collection but the concept was wrong and in my opinion uncle s post was spot on!
I didn't get one either and had to go in the home end but with only 5500 tickets we would always have a problem. LB hs put the problem in far more eloquent and concise terms than I ever could BUT it was an away game not a home game for a start. The 2nd problem is who gets priority. Cup ticket stub holders from previous rounds? Away fans? STHs or those that put the most money into the club - the non STHs who still go week in and week out.
The scarf thing does seem to bother you. Why is the concept wrong? It was an attempt to generate an atmosphere at the ground with some crappy scarves that won't last my two boys till the end of the season whereas the ones I bought in the club shop will. Nice one to the club for trying. The STHs that moaned are just petty petty petty. Can you not look beyond the 2 f***ing pounds and fifty f***ing pence to the bigger picture?
God forbid newcomers are encouraged to join with an incentive (lots of companies use this tactic). God forbid an atmosphere at the ground. Then STHs would have nothing to moan about.
Uncle Spielberg is talking out of his arse and trying to justify to himself and others why he won't be renewing his ticket.
Truth is - he can't be arsed. Fair enough, he's perfectly entitled to do that but he's not entitled to make up a list of absolute bollocks posing as malcontent and post it on here without expecting it being ripped apart and shown up for the crap it is.
