Season ticket prices rise by 3%

How much money do we generate from seaon ticket sales? £1.5million? so how much more revenue is this 3% going to generate for the club?

They could have done a deal whereby buying a season ticket for next season guarantees first dibs on a season ticket for Falmer. That would generate more interest in next season as well as the first falmer year

I think that is already in place mate. season ticket holders get first dibs, in order of how long you have had a ST.

Would have been nice if they had been dropped considering how much we have paid over the odds recently.

Expect another hike when we get to Falmer.

Where has that actually been said?

I will try and find it. I'm almost certain though that there is special 'hard hat' days when the stadium is completed. So the season ticket holders get first choice of seat.

Prices will probably stay the same for Falmer. Not really sure why people expect them to go down, football is a business and to lower prices when you've just spent 90 million on a stadium would be utter stupidity.

Tbh if I could get away with £425 at Falmer I don't think that would be too bad a deal, given that the matchday experience would be far greater. The thing that will stick in many peoples craw is that we have been paying stadium prices for an utter sh*tehouse matchday experience for many years.

At Falmer the revenue streams will come from a number of sources in addition to that of the matchday ticket that are currently not available to the club. However the club cannot maximise these revenues if they do not get people through the door in the first place.

I'm encouraged by the reasonable rates for the Platinum seats which I think represent good value for those who can afford it. I hope that this generosity is extended to those of us in the regular seats so the club can rake in more cash from the catering/merchandising etc.

Very difficult because they sold the last 2 years tickets as a package either 2 or 3 year tickets on the back of the fact that buying a ticket then would guarantee first option at Falmer.

I can't see the option of a two or three year ticket mentioned. Hopefully this means the prices may go down when Falmer opens?

Some wish!

I think this rise is in preparation of a bigger rise next year. It is a shame that the only reward to season ticket holders over the last 10 years is to have first dibs at Falmer. It would only have taken a fraction of the alleged millions that are supposed to be available to reward sth. STHs contribute roughly £1.6m (4000 x £400). A 25% reward discount would have cost only about £400,000. Could have kept season ticket prices the same for new purchases.

I will be renewing as it works out at under £20 a game which will be further enhanced by the investment value of the DVDs next year in what is going to be a promotion year!

Realistically, I don't think including a first dibs type scenario would make much difference.

I am pretty sure anyone who wants a season ticket at Falmer will get one.

Exactly how is £1400 a year deemed reasonably for what could be league one football? You get a bigger seat and access to lounges.

I agree, I was more looking at generating more interest in next season, where far less people want to go to Withdean. Going by the rumoured transfered budgets, surely the club could do with a more people going to Withdean, as crowds of 6,000 arent going to be to inspiring to players we are targetting at bringing to the club

I am pretty sure if you want a season ticket and get in early enough for Falmer, you will get roughly where you want.

We are hardly going to quadruple the number of season ticket holders.

But the fact is, anyone not bothering with Withdean but wanting a season ticket at Falmer won't have any problems getting one. Giving them first dibs if they shell out £400 plus next season is hardly a sweetener.

....

Some of the planned revenue streams are also unrelated to the use of the stadium as a football venue.

Still, the increase in revenue will probably be enough to cover the money spent on Liam Dickinson.

What an absolute bloody shambles.

Shittest ground in the league.
Most ridiculous ticket prices in the league.

And we've still got another season to go.

Anyone who things we're going to sell out Falmer for the entire opening season needs a reality check at those prices.

Couldn't agree more.

A drop as a 'thank you for shelling out way over the odds to keep the club in business while having to watch a generally shit team in shit conditions' would have been nice.

As a lapsed Withdean season ticket holder who will probably start going again when we get to Falmer it would have been nice to have seen the club do something to try and tempt people back for this final year at Withdean.

£700 for a 2 years season ticket or similar and I might have been tempted.
