A point about new fans. I live in Tun Wells and have been in this area more or less all my life. Went to my first Albion game late seventies, when I was 8/9 ish. Still going now, so like a lot of us, have seen it all, good and mainly bad times. Over the last 12 months or so the amount of Albion stickers on cars and people in town with albion gear on, has become quite noticeable and makes me chuckle a little. No doubt they have been fans all there lifes!!!! I think there are some fans of this club who just because they have been there through the dark times, seem to think they are more important than others. I for one want to reach the dizzy heights of football in this country and be able to dish it out, in the pub with all my premiership supporting mates. In order to achive this we need all the new fans we can get, these people still put their money down and help the club move forward. True they may not be able to name the cup final side or even the play off winning side. Does this really matter?..As long as they can name the side for the next 10/20 years and bring even more support to the club, then all aboard the Gus bus!!!!!!!!

One of those might have been my car!

But I work in TW, don't live there. Know a few fans in TW though. Easy access to Falmer, it's a town ripe for the picking.

Burrish Gull has done an incredible ammount of work on this supporters club and organised a brillaint presentation evening. If there are some 'new' STH amongst the club then we do have to accept this. Si didn't make up the 'plus 3' rule and it's not his thought some people have wanted to join Seagulls Over Burwash who aren't regulars at the mo - he can hardly not let them in can he - that wouldn't look good on BHA?

I know most of you have said you appreciate the hard work he's doing and remember their are 22.5 k seat s at our lovely new home. Cut the guy some slack pls some of you - his family have been Albion forever

Saw a bloke in a Brighton shirt crossing the road in TW just the other day. All I could do not to stop in the middle of the traffic for a chat. Defo more Brighton creeping out of the woodwork i the town (should be part of Sussex anyway - too pretty for bloody Kent). Lots of Albion will come from here soon enough.

The fact is we want and need the new fans. If we only accept the Withdean faithful, The Amex will be pretty empty.

I think it's great that people are spreading the Albion word.

The plus three is a great idea - new supporters may not come if they can't sit with their friends and family. And if you have groups of people sitting together who know each other you are bound to get a better atmosphere in the new stadium which is crucial for the matchday experience and spurs the team on.

The only thing that was edited was the title of the thread, where I added it say...

Seagulls Over Burwash (Johnny Come Latelys) Update

...after the first 5 or 6 posts. This wasn't a dig at Burrish, nor the group he has clearly worked so hard to get off the ground, but a mickey take at some of the reactions this thread was already getting as well as a reflection on other threads that were dominating NSC at the time.

Burrish didn't take it too well and reacted. I reacted back.

He then flounced (but came back), by which time I'd also added in 'Drama Queens' into the thread title.

But it seems NSC is a complete pile of shite so Burwash is pleased to be away from here. All good, then.

Good grief. Has everybody stopped being so precious about who supports the club most & who was a supporter before who? Good then it might be an idea to mention that there are actually 22,500 seats available in total & if these can all be sold then the club can grow & I'm sure we'd all like to see that.

Oops - I've just seen he edited his first post.

It was an account of the numbers that would be coming from Burwash with new season tickets and a potted history of that group, including how several are new-born Albion fans etc.

Sheebs.....this is not the point at all. I am so glad that he has organised and got a load of new fans to the cause, I really am!!. What my selfish point is , and this is the clubs fault not the fans, is that I personally think that the club should have somehow rewarded the fans who have stuck out Withdean rain and shine by suggesting that they have first dibs on WHERE THEY WANT TO SIT. I know that there are plenty of spaces, but as pointed out above with a spurs fan taking a prime position , if I cant get a seat in a position I want for someone who has never been before, I will be pretty pissed off.

I understand the clubs position, BUT that doesn't make me feel any better....that is all really!!1

See ya.

(It must be all the JCLs that account for the continuing upward trend in traffic that NSC is experiencing.)[/QUOTE]

On that note, I am working night and day due to the increase in membership..............................any chance of a pay rise? .......pretty please.....wife 3 kids etc....mortgage.......a severe drink problem.......
