Don't feel the least bit sorry for Cameron but he has to work a lot harder to get Murdoch on side than Blair did.

Murdoch is an odd one, bit like Thatcher. Very anti-establishment, but brutal capitalist. Doesn't particularly like the Royals either.

Both Blair and Thatcher fought hard against the old guard in their respective parties so it's relatively easy to see how Murdoch found them very easy to support.

Both Major and Cameron represent something that Murdoch appears to hate about the English.

As you said, Murdoch was very anti-establishment and Major must have had the stiffest upper lip that any PM has ever had!!!!!

Murdoch is a strange "vulture". He supported Margaret Thatcher and stuck his neck out for Jeremy Archer.

Would that be the more rebellious younger brother of Jeffrey?

As i said on a previous post about Her, beware Ginger women they are DANGEROUS i know from first hand expierience :-(

Yes I'd back that, vicious tempers.

Nice quote on the Beeb prog last night, Apparently she saw a gay Tory MP at a meeting about 2003 (Chris Bryant is it?) who had been openly attacking the Murdoch empire and in front of witnesses including her then hubby Ross Kemp said "Shouldn't you be on Clapham Common now?" Kemp then told her to "Shut up, you homophobic cow". No wonder their marriage didn't last.

Like I said she's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophelia_(painting)

Depends, guilt wasn't proved but what is the public perception?

Justice can be bought? Her defence costs were between £5-7million.

Brooks had a £16.1million payoff from Murdoch when she lost her job, so no need for a whip-round for her just yet.

Swimming in sewage clearly pays off but money can't wash off the smell!

Her defence was based on her having no knowledge of what was going on under her watch, which defied description but she pulled it off and therefore had to accept that she was, at a minimum, incompetent. The only basis I can imagine regarding why Murky Murdoch has re-appointed her is because he fancies the pants off her (allegedly)!!!

Brought back to deal with the proposed corporate prosecution, I guess Murdoch is hoping they get the same result as she did, mind there are more than a few disgruntled ex News International employees out there with grudges now

Brought back to dissuade her writing her memoirs I suspect.

The Digger's grubby paw prints are all over the phone hacking.. I find it hard to believe that a life long print man such as himself knew nothing of the dealings.

It's still amazing that the jury swallowed the story about Brooks' husband shredding files and binning his laptop because he was embarrassed about his wife finding porn on it.

That's what's so amazing. She only got found not guilty with a defence of incompetence.. Incredible! She didn’t know what her news editors were doing, what her deputy editor, successor and lover was doing.. If she’s not incompetent then she’s a liar. Either way why on earth would you hire her back?! Only a mob like mafia type operation would allow that to happen.. Screw the many thousands of victims of phone hacking! Or all those perfectly innocent journos that lost their jobs when the NOTW closed down! Or all the sources that were shopped to the authorities during the inquiry!

It beggars belief really,

I’ve seen it reported in the Washington Post, the FT and the BBC. Barely any others are mentioning it. Damn Murdoch rags,

**and breath**
