You?

I'm predicting a profitable day on the 26th of March though.

My housemate bet on that ages ago, not sure why he did it so far in advance. Anyway he reckons some horse called Brave Inca is gonna win him a fortune, is it?

At odds of 15/8 he'll need a fortune to make a fortune, take him on with Arcalis at 6/1.

;)

Agree Trig - going to pile into Monkerhostin, I can never have that stupid plodding IRISH nag Beef or Salmon taking the Gold Cup from ENGLAND. (Note: London Irish has filed this under his 'posts to possibly resurrect' folder).

And I'll be piling into Brave Inca too.

He got Brave Inca at 9/2 so I guess that's why he did it so far in advance. Arcalis, 6/1?, marvellous. Last horse you told me to bet on WON, well came third and you said e/w, so I reckon I've got that race SORTED :)

You may have quoted the wrong post there DARREN, had a drink tonight have we?...

Hopefully the IRISH will take the Queen Mother as i'll be piling into my old favourite horse, Moscow Flyer... He looked back to his bouncing best midweek on a work out covered by attheraces for some reason... What a fabulous old horse he is, probably be his last race.

Hudds and Sheff Wed. I did go to some of those games where Leon played. Remember I lived in Huddersfield? Remember I had friends who were Huddersfield season ticket holders? Remember I am married to a former Sheff Wed 'supporter' now converted to the Albion?

Yes, Yorkie, I remember - hence me saying LOCAL press. But you say you can't judge the players today as you weren't there. This means that living in Huddersfield, having friends who are season ticket holders, being married to a Wendy fan DOES NOT COUNT AS YOU CAN'T JUDGE IF YOU'RE NOT AT THE GAME. So why can you judge Leon when you're not at games but can't judge our players today when you live in Brighton, have friends who are Brighton season ticket holders and were at today's game etc etc.

The point I was making before you felt you had the right to question my judgements, was that Tfh was calling other supporters mugs.
I enjoy going to football. I hate it when we lose. I will still go to football even if we get relegated but the one thing that would stop me going altogether is other supporters calliing me a mug if I applaud the players. That is up to me whether I applaud or not.

Again, I've not and have not made a single comment on the you v TfH 'mug' discussion.

No and no. TfH was carrying on the horsey talk so just quoted the most recent one as I wanted to cover Monkerhostin and Brave Inca.

Lots of talk on the Flyer on The Morning Line today. I'll certainly not oppose him - I'll say that much. In fact very tempted to lump on now-ish as I reckon the lucky Oirish will back him into favourite meaning laying off the bet to have a small amount on him to win for free.

Although I'm curious as to why I was in possession of it in the first place, as your post implies.

Well, I'm assuming that was the terrain you were attempting to stand on when you made that rather pointless dig at Yorkie. It proved a somewhat slippery slope in the end though.

Attempting?

If it evaporated, it must have been there in the first place, surely.

You do seem to be struggling this evening - feeling OK fella?

Oh, I'm fine, thanks for asking!

You've got what you needed to get out of your system well and truly out now then? Did the swearing help? :D

I've just urinated if that is what you mean.

I think I'd have manged to do so whether or not I had used profanity here. Do you find you are more able to pass water if you swear?

Please note this sentence I did go to some of those games where Leon played.

Btw since when did it become a requirement on Nsc to have had direct experience of a subject before passing judgement? :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

James, I didn't applaud the players yesterday so how can I be a mug? :p

It seemed to be a requirement for you to have in order for you to comment on something.

(Seen the sticky thread about the dinner - are you going to enter?)

Way out west
I applauded the players off the field yesterday, as I have done at every Brighton game I have been to in just over 25 years, though I might add that I was not in the majority.

You could tell that the players were gutted, it looked to me like they all wanted to just dissapear down the tunnel and out of view but CKR appeared to motion to them to come towards us and at least show their appreciation of our efforts in going to the game and giving them our backing.

We know that the players are giving it everything, sometimes it is not enough, yesterday was one of those days and it just about sums up our season. I can only comment on the basis of seeing four games, at Derby we played some delightful passing football and were the match of a team expected to make the play-offs. At Stoke we outplayed them for at least half an hour, they were woeful, a mixture of curious refereeing decisions and disruptive play by our opponents saw us off on that occasion. At Coventry we again played some nice passing football and just couldn't find the final ball to put them under real pressure.

However yesterday our shortcomings were revealed in all their glory, we had Kerry playing in our midfield, not his natural position and despite him giving 110% and being one of our better players it was never going to be enough. I think if we had had Oatway/McShane out there yesterday we would probably have won, but ifs, buts, whys and wherefores get you nothing. The reality is that we have not found any level of consistency this season and we are going to get relegated.

Great innit? :) It's called having brilliant loyal fans - sorry it sticks in yer goonish gob  *notsorryatallreally*

Some of the 'loyal fans' now wanting our inept manager removed were those 'loyal fans' that saw the club through the Hereford, the Archer times and Gillingham.

What makes us less fans for wanting our club to perform better ??
