Modric is an absolute freak of a player. Plays like a 25 year old but he’s 37 FFS!

A total joy to watch.
If he played for a fashionable national team he’d be talked about as one of the greats, but Croatia have only got a bit good and a lot too late for him.

Just the 2 then. Not a bad result for Chelsea considering everything.

Rightly or wrongly, they'll feel they have a chance, albeit a small one, in the 2nd leg at home next Tuesday.

Nice distraction for Saturday 3pm.
Exactly, there were whiffs of competence, and I was hoping they'd score, or it would only be -1 or evens . . . . Cucurella looked keen, and quick, he was clearly targeted by RM players. . . . he may be an enemy now but he is capable. .

He did still win the Ballon D’Or to be fair.

He is definitely one of the greats.
Absolutely. But he deserves to be talked about as one of the great players of this generation, yet two in particular have hogged that conversation for a decade.

Those two are better the Luka so of course they've hogged the conversation, but yes he is one of the greats of this generation.

No chance. Only for the next CL games depending on the length of the suspension. So, if it was a three match ban, for example, he'd miss the second leg, and Chelsea's next two Champions League games, in October 2025.
It's a one-match ban so Chilwell misses the 2nd leg (the ban could be increased if the offence warranted it in the eyes of UEFA, but not a chance here I think)

Chelsea go 4 games without a goal for the first time since 1993. We know what happens Saturday right …?
We leave the ref unmarked at the back post, for a simple tap-in?
