Whilst I can see why the ref gave two reds, neither were necessary. Pog got a slight nudge for his second and Leo followed the ball, his play was neither violent nor serious, but a bit dumb. We know the ref is a professional attention seeking bed wetter from last season, and should have played accordingly.

Dire first half, encouraging after the break. Defence a bit wooden at times, not sure how they will cope with Johnson, Austin, Zamora and (possibly if ' Arry gets his way) Adebayor on Wednesday.

That is paper talk that Adebayor has fallen out with AVB and training with the youth but if you read AVB comments that is because he hasnt done any pre season training and when he has he will be back with the first team. He is capable of scoring in the Prem even as a a sub so there is no way he will go to QPR and will be in the squad 25 at Christmas. That is if he has not gone on loan abroad with an option to buy in January by then

Defence were rock solid you idiot

For most of the game.

Our inability to clear the ball could have put us into trouble on a few occasions. There was also a 5-10 minute period where we were letting them push forward too easily down the right hand side with nobody coming out to challenge them allowing some easty crosses into the box.

The defence were closing them down, blocking shots and limiting them to wayward shots. Kuszczak only had one real save to make throughout the game , which is why the defence were solid.

As i said, for most of the game.

There was a period when that shaved headed tattooed guy was getting loose on the far side of the pitch. It was only that he was useless that we weren't made to pay for it in any way.

I was relieved that Macanuff didn't come on as he always scores against us, ex Palace scummer, that he is.
