What about: A group of supporters go to Brighton every game. OR A group of supporters goes to Brighton every game.
This is the verb to go. I go, he goes, a group goes.

But go is also a noun - have a go, or have several goes.

I agree but it doesn't sound right.

Similar to when Americans say things such as:

Arsenal wins against Brighton

Whereas we would say:

Arsenal win
(even though the latter is a singular noun, it sounds right to our ears).

The plural would be 'goes', but it depends on the interpretation of the word 'go' itself

Would these all be correct?

She had two goes at the auditions.
At the first audition, she was dancing with two go-go's.
They were doing a dance sequence called the Stop and Go. She did several Stop and Gos.

There we go.

Incidentally, I would assume go's to be the way it goes.

its a verb, most verbs dont "pluralise" as they arent things what you can count. usually adding an 's' is for possessive, not plural. think walk, bend, watch, sleeps. bugger.

Only use an apostrophe to show possession or to show omission (missing letters).

Schoolboy error.

Actually, they teach you that shit in school, so it's worse.
