They do have a say in it though, that's why Birmingham - Villa is almost always 11:30-12 on a sunday

Which paradoxically makes the decision to have us at Charlton whilst the 'fearers of no foes' tackle our Croydon friends. Presumably the Met have the right to veto but chose not to.

So on Saturday 16 October at 3pm the following fixtures are all taking place in London:

Arsenal v Birmingham
Fulham v Tottenham
Crystal Palace v Millwall
QPR v Norwich
Charlton v Brighton
Dagenham & Redbridge v Walsall
Leyton Orient v Hartlepool

London Bridge could get interesting. Getting back there from Charlton took ages last season, just enough time for Millwall to make their way back there...

Well lets just stay in the third division at Withdean then! :wozza:

There has been loads of trouble since we've been at Withdean!

Don't think I said that but if you want to stay in the lower leagues that's down to you!

But that is what they did to us at Palace in 2002?

Maybe the Millwall intellectuals drafted a reasoned, balanced and cogent case in the form of a consultative report to the Met that compelled the Met to re-examine their tactics.

And at Frattton park.

Why would Millwall want to give us any grief?

Wasn't suggesting they would give us grief. But usually a fair Police presence at London Bridge when Millwall are passing through... And a number of fans from various clubs could all hit the major stations at a similar time.

Just seem to be a lot of London fixtures which all require Policing, plus a number of away fans who will be moving around London to make their way home.

I'm sure the police will be enjoying the overtime that day.

Cheers for that Mr Wash. I've been helped!

It is a pleasure dear boy.

Fom a more sensible perspective Allegedly we seem to have a reputation for mixing it unlike sayOrient, Brentford or Bournemouthe per se so on notice that we are on their patch; to boost their egos and after causing problems at Selhurst it is well within their instinctive desire to pick a fight at LB.

Interesting that Cardiff v Bris C and Scunthorpe v Doncaster have both been scheduled for 12.00 KO that day, but not Palace v Millwall.

I can just imagine Delia Smith sticking one on Jeff Stelling somewhere in London screaming "Let's be 'aving you!"

You thinking the same as me?

"Leyton Orient v Hartlepool" - cataclysmic!!

So say that Mr Wash, last season Hartlepool brought a right load of herberts down when they played in London towards the end of last season (think they were at Brentford if memory recalls). None of them bothered with the game as I bumped into them at about 3:30 in a certain pub in the Kings Cross area.

That said they might be keeping a low profile at the moment having nearly killed a Wednesday fan a few weeks back. Wednesday Hartlepool is going to be an interesting day for the South Yorkshire police!!
