This will probably screw the 2018 bid, when it becomes apparent to the whole of Europe that we cannot even grow a half decent pitch in our own National stadium. Its going to be embarrassment CENTRAL.

Its had ELEVEN re-laid pitches since 2007 at around £100k a pop each time...and its only just occurred to them to do something different ?

Absolutely, somebody on here (not I, but I can't remember who) has literally been saying for years that Wembley should have a desso Grassmaster, which would stop the surface falling apart. It doesn't help with overuse, but will mean the huge chunks of the surface won't come off during a match.

We'll be promoted in April so no impact on us, although there is still the cup final we need to consider?
