Instead of making allegations that are not true, as the quote from the Standard is correct and my comments are my comments, why don't you instead have a read of the article in the Standard, then step back and think to yourself "so this is a club with 8000 STH in the Championship, who have a board who talk about being high rollers in the Premier League". Then think, do I as a Brighton fan, think too small?

How many teams are promoted from the Chakmpionship to the top flight each season? - Three

Does spending vast sums of money gain you promotion to the top flight from the Championship? - No (look at Forest, QPR, Blackburn as a few of the recent examples of failures)

How many teams have parachute payments that are currently in the Championship? - ?

How much could the club earn from finishing in positions 3 to 6 and not going up? - ?

How much would have to be spent just to match those clubs that recieve parachute payments?

Where does it come from? - (how long do you think Bloom should keep throwing millions into the club without a guarentee of success and risk the long term future of the club, and debt makes it harder to sell the club to a new investor as they would also have to take on the debt)

Are we allowed to spend it without being subjected to a massive fine / transfer embargo (FFP) - No

If we were promoted and decided to spend millions in an attempt to challenge like 'Palace are in that article' - what happens if we fail and are relegated (another Pompey?)

Spending money is not guarentee of success as history has proven. Long term thinking is the best way to go for the long term survival of the club rather than chasing short term goals which may actually not be realistic or achieveable (isn't everyone else trying to do the same sort of thing?) get the foundations right and the rest should (hopefully) follow

But you are really only on a fishing trip anyway.

The indoor pitch at the new training complex...

If thinking big is getting the infrastructure in place, and, in the meantime, accepting promotion as a bonus then Albion under Tony Bloom ARE thinking big.View attachment 54046
