A couple of years ago I was asked to do the doors on a pub near the station for a Brighton / Palace match. All went swimmingly for the afternoon, Police popped in, made sure all was fine. Until about 5pm when 6 Palace "fans" came wondering in. One of them already had a cut lip and black eye. We refused them service and I honestly thought I was going to get my head smashed in.

A really nasty bunch and I know the police wouldn't have got ther in time. I knew there was nothing I could have really done if they had kicked off, six of them and all big lads. Luckily the bar manager stood her ground and we got them out but not without being called ****s and threatening to smash the place up.

A nasty experience and one of the few times I have ever been genuinley shitting it. I will never work a door on my own again.

It was a Sunday game. It was the Eddie.

In answer to Das Reich I could not tell you exactly how long ago it was. I know it was the only time I worked that pub and I know it was approx two + years ago.

Just chuckling at Charlton
a couple? whats been going on then spill the beans please

I'm no expert believe me! But There have been quite a few incidents of attacks by Palace fans on opposition supporters over the past few years and there seems to be 2 separate groups, this Dirty 30 group of imbeciles who are all Stone Island, Burberry etc. and another lot made up of older blokes.

To be honest these morons are not worth using bandwidth over, i just hope they all piss off.

Never seen the B.W.S so i cant comment.

Except you do comment on them frequently, and generally in conversations where no-one else has mentioned them or probably even thought to do so.
