Statement on Website NOW

Without knowing the details behind the case - not turning up is just pathetic. Even if you dispute the reason why your being disciplined - you still attend to put your point across.

It seems Mr Poyets bed had well and truly been made.....

Didn't he say on the Gogglebox that he wanted the matter sorted as soon as possible?

Errrm... maybe you should have shown some commitment to that statement by actually turning up then? Or did you sleep in?

If he's disputing a legal matter then his own legal team will have advised him not to attend while the matter is resolved. The club can't sack him, Poyets legal team would have a field day with that and we'd be even worse off than we are now. We need this resolved ASAP but in a way that doesn't mean months possibly years of legal teams posturing towards each other before an out of court settlement is announced. The only winners in that would be the expensive lawyers.

They can make a decision based on the facts that they have. If Gus fails to attend to offer any other facts they can indeed sack him but only for facts already established which he chooses not to dispute based on legal advice I am sure. But the club can sack him without him attending.

Can we really not get someone else in as manager while he is suspended?

Can we now stop any bullshit about playing poker with Bloom.

Gus holds all the aces here. The longer it drags on, the more damaged the football club becomes. What a total shambles.

Not necessarily you don't. Poyet will have some a very expensive legal team advising him

Try this for a scenario.

BHA pay up both Charlie and Tanno
Óscar García comes in to replace Charlie as first team coach

As Gus is suspended the running of team affairs gets passed to Óscar García

Wait for another club to buy Gus out... or not...

Following the completion of a detailed internal investigation, Gus Poyet's disciplinary hearing commenced this morning.

At least we now know that's finally finished.

Just another stick for the Poyet out brigade to smack him with while the real reasons for his no-show go unknown.

Here
So, I think we can safely speculate that he both didn't turn up on Friday and today. The Gus Poyet is bigger than the club roadshow rumbles on. He clearly couldn't give a monkeys about the club.

Poyet and his lawyers are clearly playing legal games which shows just how much he really cares for the club that took a chance on him, gave him his break and were prepared to build the future around him until his ego got in the way. I'm getting really p***ed with Poyet now and just want him away from our club forever, now.

Could it be that Gus's legal team are worried that a foot-in-mouth situation may not help their case ?
