NSC's Most Stalked
Well if you do have an interest outside of football, why is it shared in a football fans forum?

the bits that have not been about football have made the people that post on the board come closer together, as you find out what people have in common.

I am not ashamed to say that I have real life friends that post on here, and post some crap on here, but you find out about what they like, and if its a film, a band, or a book, you have something to talk about when you do meet up.

If this was just about the Albion it would be boring, there is only so much talking you can do about the Albion

If we were only allowed to talk Albion on here, REMF wouldnt have been born and I wouldnt have been able to raise well over £5,000 for charity

I'm not sure that it would be wise to stick my head above the parapit, but...

I like NSC for it's irrelevance. It is fantastic that there are football threads, top-tv presenter polls and threads asking about mountain bikes all mixed together. There are plenty of other forums the are solely for football related discussion and (lets be honest) I find them all pretty dry. I really like NSC for what it is... I hope it doesn't change.

This is is a busy board, a lively board, with a rich variety freaks, mongs, attention-seekers, fools, gimps, wind-up merchants, spanners, dudes, comedians, wisened sages and unruly children. It might not be a perfect blend, but its rarely dull and it gets me through the "working" day.

NSC is a uniquely ORGANIC experience, with lots of fluffy bits, lots of prickly bits, lots of warm wet bits and an undercurrent of DANK that binds all it together.

Dividing it up would kill it. You want exclusively Albion-related chat, go to Brightonfans.com (theres at least half a dozen new posts a day to read on there). Otherwise, just sign up and enjoy the RIDE.

I had a quick plough through other club sites and found that they had FAR LESS traffic than here so the Mods should be congratulated on creating a vibrant community where fans can come together. We already have a team-specific forum with Brightonfans. I categorically dismiss the idea that having a club -discussion-only would attract new fans. I think it is more likely that a vibrant community like this one will do the job.

Oh and another thing..... one of the reasons that I post less on club-specific discussions was that living abroad I was having trouble getting any coverage of the club so that whne I did say something I got told off for not knowing anything because ı don't go to games.

Now, I've got Seagullsworld I think I have a (limited) opinion value but in a club-discussion-only website where those who don't attend games' opinions are not respected would mean the loss of fans like myself to the internet community.

I'd be open to a highly moderated "football only" sub-forum. It's all very well asking for the opinions of existing users, but what about those Albion fans who rarely come on here because they have to sift through what they might perceive as geeky, cliquey shite? Also, most of the Albion chat is completely ruined by those 2 or 3 boring nobbers who say unpleasant things with the sole intention of getting noticed.

But in the end, I don't really mind one way or the other really.

I'm all for introducing regular short bans for the worst offenders. The non-football stuff is essential. Heaven footbid we turn this place into Brightonfans. Just weed out a bit of the attention seeking drivel, and all's good.

Why are there threads based upon TV shows, well figured females, tips on where to eat and countless amounts of top 10 this top 10 that threads?
Its very alarming that a club who's intrest is noticably dropping, has a fans forum which hardly ever debates anything to do with the club or any other!.
Instead we are reading complete garbage which you would expect from those Nuts, zoo,FHM etc magazines. The question is, if we want to encourage people to gain more intrest in the club while they cant actually watch the team, is a fans forum (which seems to be used more as a social utility) gonna attract more intrest to a club dying for intrest? No, It seems the word 'debate' is seen as a joke when certain users share an honest fair opinion, a debate to many users (including some Mods! ) is an opinion related to something non albion related!.

its shocking that this was once a forum that helped keep Albion alive!,

sort it out!

f*** off.

I accept why you come on here but i can't accept the shallow debates (eg peoples looks etc) should be on a site which can strongly encourage more and more younger and newer football fanatics to a very poorley supported team.
Now the internet has big impact on the younger generation ,surely if the forum was more albion related it could spark more debate and conversation about the albion (outside of NSC) between are future fans which would give a the younger fans more reason to see the albion.

Its a game of opinions not a discussion about what toothbrush works best!

Fact is debates about whether Dean was wronged, what is up with Cox,Elphick or Murray and your greatest ever Albion 11 of the 80's are f***ing dull as!...we should really have a sub board called "Discuss Football" whilst the Big Board can concentrate on what REALLY matters "Ethnic cookery", "who do you love on NSC?" and "what undies are you wearing?".

IP logs very strongly suggest that this is the second identity of an existing NSC user.

Now this is getting interesting.

Come on Bozza, TELL US........THE TRUTH!

But what's to say that the same drab bores wouldn't be just as long-winded and dull all over a football-only subforum? Name some names, damn you sir. :flameboun:flameboun
