I think the key difference here might be that the NSC forum would be populated by a cross section of our support rather than tedious self righteous bollocks from Plastic Irish, The Great Cookie Deleter and people who post on Jake Robinson's facebook wall.

Good point, well made

Right.

Somebody complained about the amount of drivel posted by attention seekers.

I suggested short bans for the worst offenders.

What's hard to understand? Who mentioned you?

I think you are quite strange.

The question is, if we want to encourage people to gain more intrest in the club while they cant actually watch the team, is a fans forum (which seems to be used more as a social utility) gonna attract more intrest to a club dying for intrest?

I think I understood that...

NSC is a brilliant 'social utility', as you put it. It's helped me out on many occasions, on both Albion and non Albion-related issues. Yes, there's a lot of stuff on here that's not based around football, but there are also many threads that are entirely Albion related - that's what happens on a 'community' like NSC. At times, it's also hilarious, a lively mash of fact and fun.

I agree, casual observers might be scared away by some of the binfestry on here, but NSC's still got a great mix of everything imo. I suppose it helps when you've been posting on here for yonks (I've been on here five years, now, I think) so you get you know what people's online personalities are like and you learn to take stuff with a pinch of salt etc or put people on your ignore list who blatantly rile you. But one thing NSC is not, and that's boring. Woe betide it become a football-only forum.

People on here have come together to help save this club befire and I believe that the passion's still there if needed in the future.

Now, where's that tattooed boobjob again? ;)

The best description I ever heard for NSC was that it is an online Albion pub. It's the Albion that brings us here but we don't all have to be Albion fans and we don't have to talk about either football or BHA all of the time.

Mr 'the Truth' - If you're the sort that goes to the pub before the match and ONLY talks to Brighton fans and then ONLY talks about the Albion then YOU are in the wrong place. Don't try and change something that thousands of others are happy about just because you expected something different, especially when there's such a board already about, such as Brightonfans
