If McGhee has decided he is leaving then what would be the problem of letting him have his farewell? That would show McGhee to be a good man and above all the bickering.

Come on, we employ a good manager, not a sentimentalist "good man" - if we are going to give anyone an opportunity, it should be Martin or Sullivan. That's what a good manager would do if he decides Hendo needs a rest.

I find it remarkable you think £20k on signing Henderson was a poor decision. I thought it was one of the best of the season.

I'm not saying whether Kuipers or hendo is the better player. I do think that hendo has better potential, not sure he will achieve it though. he has faults in his game which need to be worked on and that will be the measure of him

Although I did read somewhere when we were in the Championship last year that Kuipers had a 65% success rate for one on ones. How we could have done with that from anybody, with our leaky defence this season

Also - hot news for LI. Hendo has made mistakes and it isn't heresy to say that. He may well be an international now but that is for a third rate nation - it's hardly like England or Holland is it?

Hendo has made mistakes, which arguably means he needs more game-time, not less.

And let's see England beat Sweden 3-0 in the summer before you parrot stuff about third-rate nations, eh?

A good manager might be someone who keeps a player in the spotlight so that we migt get a fee for him.

Also, when you dont have much money, it may be best to spend it on players who will deliver best return for the club. having lost £1m in revenue by being relegated, maybe that money would have been better spent towards a striker, left back or midfielder

Regardless of whether or not ROI are a "3rd rate nation" it is certainly a nation with a fine pedigree in goalkeepers over the past 20 years. He is considered in the Ireland camp the succesor to Shay Given.

How England could do with something similar.

come on LI - I've already demonstrated how that money could have been used. Just cos it's not your opinion doesn't make it any less valuable.

Add that to whatever the loan figure for GNW was and you never know what we could have got. We're not talking transfer fees here, but definitely to support wages.

To be fair I can see why the club signed him and for that money, a,beit a gamble its a very small gamble.

Both make mistakes occasionally, the difference is at his age Kuipers will continue to make them probably but Hendo still has the chance to improve and erradicate the errors.

am not doubting he was worth that or that we may sell him at a profit in future. However, in my view, if you have a car but dont have a house, it may be better spending your cash on renting a property before buying another car.

With respect, you really haven't.

You're conveniently forgetting we helped support GNW's wages by moving Kuipers out to Boston - good financial sense.

I notice that you have said a few times LI that McCammon and Kuipers have been loaned out to support GNW' wages. Just out of interest how do you know this?

True. I'm glad we brought in a striker instead of a Goalkeeper who obviously was not going to play due to falling out with McGhee. Although we may have signed him a bit late.

An obvious deduction from the fact that these guys are on good money by Albion standards and we run a tight ship financially.

But then don't you think Henderson's 20k fee, plus his signing on fee and his wages since he signed would also have covered GNW's brief sojourn on the south coast?

People are forgetting that we have signed a top keeper from a Premiership side for £20,000. That's well worth the price for a Keeper who arguably has talent and since he's been with us has earned a cap for Ireland.
