Yes but don't forget that for the last few years he has been playing mostly at Championship level for Hull, Ipswich, Birmingham and Reading.

His goals-per-game ratio was better in his Gillingham and Brentford days so with his added experience he should be quite a threat back at league 1 level next season.

A mate of mine who lives in Ipswich tells me that it is common knowledge among Town fans that Bowditch will join us this summer on a season-long loan.

If he can get over his injury problems then he would be another quality signing.
