If you're not confident of beating hapless Jack's band it doesn't say much for your prospects this season. Broncos by a TD I would think.

Made my morning when I woke up to discover Revis had re-signed. If he performs swell as he did last year then I do believe we are legit superbowl contenders slot will now depend on how Sanchez performs hopefully it will be like he did in the postseason.

Yeah it's gonna be him and Mike Carlson, who's moved over from Five. Great news.

What a dream team all free on Channel 4;

Two of the most popular NFL broadcasters on UK television will team up for the first time to present 'American Football Live' at 1 a.m. every Sunday, beginning with the Dallas Cowboys against the Washington Redskins this weekend.

Imlach will anchor the show, having spent a decade presenting Channel 4's NFL coverage until 1998 and worked on ITV's NFL broadcasts from 2005 to 2007. He is also known for presenting ITV's Tour de France broadcasts and won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award in 2005 for My Father and Other Working Class Football Heroes.

I don't have sky on at present but here is the fare on offer over the next few weeks;

Thursday September 9th, 12:00am, Sky Sports 1
Minnesota @ New Orleans

Sunday September 12th, 6:00pm, Sky Sports 4

Predictions:

AFC Champs – Jets

NFC Champs – Packers

Super Bowl winners – Jets defense is good enough but as “Hard Knocks” has shown the Mark Sanchez led offense still looks inconsistent. But I’d have to go with Mike McCarthy’s Packers.

If the Packers win this year, it would be the start of a dynasty.
If not last year then deffo the year before, they had the youngest roster.

Anyone staying up for this one? I'm going for Saints by 6 or more.

I stayed up for it. Couldn't quite work out how that result happened. At half-time, but teams were doing a pretty good job of stopping the pass, and I thought the run-game would settle the contest. What I didn't expect was for that to then be the Saints switching to the run, while the Vikings suddenly seemed to just stop handing it off to AP. I woke up this morning half expecting to read that AP picked up an injury. Very odd.

NBC Sports who provided the coverage over here are almost as amateur as Channel 5 in my opinion.... looked good in HD though !

Both teams will be there or thereabouts come playoff time - hoping the Jets make a run to the superbowl as NYC will be rocking !
