Well it will be, we have an Amex board member on our board, they sponsor our stadium, why the f*** are they not doing it? We had a great inconic sponsor in SKINT, how have we ended up with a job center?

If you check there website out, your see that they already have something to do with american express and the albion. So it must come from the three of them being associated already!

Maybe the people in charge of the club who know what they are doing should all quit & let Hust make all the decisions?

Let's see the kit first... sounds really promising too me. It's not just retro to be plainer stripes, it's just a good looking kit (potentially).

It also seems funny that someone with an avatar of Darren Freeman's perm objects to retro, surely that's just a different retro era?

Even "jazzed up" sounds like something from the 80s, which is retro again...

I'd just like it to be simple blue and white stripes, but that's nothing to do with retro.
Don't get me wrong, I do like a bit of retro, I guess I just presumed we would have a modern design to match the Amex. I'm sure I'll like the shirt whatever the design maybe.

p.s The Darren Freemans Perm thingy is more in memory of him presenting me ,as a nipper, the player of the year award for Hollingbury Hawks. I was just a small lad and I was in awe of this Golden/bronze Permed man.

I like what we do on the pitch, not so much the behind the scenes people making the decisions you are listing here.

Anything like this will be fine by me.
Thicker stripes maybe.

In a pile of football shirts
mixing old with new...a continuous progression. When the shield was introduced it knocked all the great things we achieved previously.

This new badge in my opinion gives us our heritage back! It's the way it should be...

We won 4 Promotions in 12 years with the shield, how many did we win in the 20 years we had with the old round badge? And how many did we win with the BHAFC script, or even with the Dolphins badge, or what about the old twin towns shield?

To me, the current Shield has been with us during a very successful period, and should not be condemned so quickly.

Dark enough blue? The top one looks very much like the kit Gus was holding in a photo at a school someone posted on here a few weeks / months back.

The contradiction is more apparent when it comes to the badge.

One minute those in 'executive roles' are saying that the seagull has been flipped as now it is 'forward looking', and then the next minute we have a retro round badge, and by the sound of it, at least one maybe two retro shirts. No issue there then!

I must confess to share a large sentiment to the poster who said he preferred the work being done on the pitch, rather than some of it off it. Sadly, a lot of this smacks of money behind these decisions, which is also ironic given the £93m int free loan.

I cannot help but feel certain waters are being muddied by those in executive roles.

With plenty of talented designers on NSC alone, why did some pen pusher feel the need to farm out the design for the badge, to of all people the stadium designers? In the past I thought fans were given the choice of certain changes, to reflect the community club. Now it seems many decisions are being force fed to us, by people who claim to know 'what is best for us'.

Only time will tell about certain decisions, for example the last minute accomodation of disabled supporters within Falmer.

Lets hope the job centre reference is not another 'ironic' comment like 'skint' was!

Personaly the best badge I've seen, including the official ones, was the one designed by someone on here & posted several months back. If the fans were given a vote between that & the new badge I'm pretty sure which would come out on top ....probably by some distance.

One of my points exactly.

We are told that the board and the executive know best, and that we would be wrong to question anything!

I thought many years ago it was decided that 'no one person' would be in total control of the club again. Have we forgotten the hard lessons we learnt?

Just because a very nice and generous chap has come along waving his gold cheque book, doesn't mean that they have all the answers.

I remember when Archer and Stanley joined the board and were greeted with open arms. The thought now makes me sick, but at the time we all signed up for it.
