Striker player is an odd phrasing! All bull-shine, but to play the game:-

1) Jon Parkin (the beast). More likely Proctor (18 and ex-Stockport)
2) Both Hughes and Michael Brown can't play for Portsmouth because of contract clauses. Probably are trying to loan them out.

As I said, I'm playing the game, matching names to our 'insiders' info. Yes the same Michael Brown who is in the Championship playing for the scummers, or not playing as it stands. We are talking about a 'special' player and these are somewhat less incredible than Michael Owen and the other fanciful names bandied about so far. In the case of Parkin, he probably doesn't do south of Watford anyway.
