it's nice ... post-modern as f*** ... it's a stand against chav focussed fashion.

And well done Umbro for not thinking they're bigger than England by rolling out the usual shite in the house-style like they've been doing since the mid 80's.

In terms of football shirt design and direction, it's got to be one of the most exciting developments since the wonderful Italy/Kappa skin-tight design of the late 90's.

Your thoughts on this Goldstone Rapper?

I'm glad it's not the usual Umbro fare but I think it's rather bland, to be honest. I am a fan of minimalistic kits - however if it's going down this route, I think this one should be much, much more elegant.

Now our resident kit specialist, I wonder how cool it would be if Umbro did a kit for Brighton, exactley the same design only white collars on a blue shirt, white shorts and blue socks with the original round badge? I recon they would sell like hot cakes no?

Two questions...
1. Does England's home strip no longer include blue shorts?
2. Will England be getting a new away strip in the same design as the new home strip?

1. It has blue shorts and red socks as the alternative, for when we cannot play in all white (i.e. against holland or any other team that plays their home matches in white shorts).

2. Certainly not yet - the current away shirt is scheduled to be replaced spring next year.

Just seen the england kit in person.

The collar looks better than it does on TV. Still, the material is nothing special. The red Umbro logo ruins the minimalist chic.

Looks good in the picture but let down by horrible material that's uncomfortable and easily misshapen. Not a patch on toffs kit material.
