Maybe. I thought there was a club comms piece basically stating no selfies/signing stuff at all now as a result of a few aggressive idiots at Lancing and a few professional Ebay muppets?
mostly down to one nutter who decided to follow solly and his family (v young baby) all the way back to his car!

I guess it makes the car parking in that bit next to bennetts field free for use of this hotel they wanted to build, if thats still something they want to do.

Also, does anyone know the latest on the student housing going into bennetts field?

oh I thought it was someone getting Mitoma to sign loads of stuff each week that was then going on eBay for big bucks. Apparently 1 week it took Mitoma over an hour to get to his car as he is so polite he stopped for everyone that asked him.

Getting slagged off on FB mainly due to keeping the toffs away from the peasants but also mention of the kids not getting autographs from the players. I get the kids love this and nobody has ever been hurt or worse but unfortunately that is the way of live now. Anyway, unless the have a private road as well, they won't get out any quicker than anyone else, surely?
I find it a bit odd that the women players don't seem to have similar problems. They are far more "fan friendly" even the England team spend a good while after matches walking the stadium, signing anything they are asked, taking selfies. I can't be sure why. Could be they remember meeting their heroes when they were young, or possibly recognise the importance of engaging with young girls to encourage the next generations. Who can say?

There were plenty of ways around this without Barbour's heavy-handed blanket ban. You only get a sig or pic if you have a child ST. You never sign more than one item.

But it is good to hear that some players, and the manager, appear to have given the Barber-ban the finger.

Not the best looking building in the world. Wasn't that why the hotel was declined?

Suspect they will have to make some cosmetic changes to get that accepted.

It was how the hotel looked from off site and not being in harmony with the stadium (not exact wording but along those lines). This car park is hidden away and won't be visible from off site so shouldn't have that issue.

Appreciate it is needed but using the fact they have lost the use of Bennetts field a bit rich when this was never owned by them. Will go to the expense of this but not willing to put a cover over P&R steps
yes p & r cover would demonstrate respecting fans here

But what about the NEW steps from back of South/East Stand corner to the Coach Park/P&R fellas ?
Nice thing of the club to do to help supporters ?

just need to add the tunnel out other side of this car park which will lead to new women's stadium  where the rugby pitch is ...

usage 50 times per year - so 19 PL games, say 12 cup games and other events - 19 women's team games to make the 50

i know nothing. just a guesstimate

Width of steps increase is not been done as a nice thing for supporters. The present steps are far to narrow and at times dangerous. Maybe PB will be charging to use the new steps

I've heard it's on hold due to the university building more accomodation for 2000+ which will be cheaper to rent.

As this is NSC and we love a bit of pedantry: it's the South/West stand. No stairs behind the South/East stand corner.

After the Newcastle match I took my 8 year old nephew to the bit where the players car park is, to the right of the Terrace, and was pleasantly surprised to see a few players breaking the non-signing and non-selfie ruling – JPVH and Jason Steele to name a few – all signing away and selfies galore.

But the biggest rule breaker of all... was our Fab! Who spent a good 15 minutes walking the temporary barriers, signing autos and posing for every selfie he was asked of (including my nephew – who was esctastic). Barbs won't like it, but I had a new level of respect for these three in particular after this. Made a lot of kids (and adults) very happy.:clap2:
Steele happily signed my flag out in Japan, when no else seemed to be signing things. #topbloke

The Terrace isn't the best looking building in the world either, it resembles a warehouse, and bigger in size than the main stand at Crawley.
