The terrace, the upgraded club shop, the new coach park steps, the north stand new seating/bar, and the potential new car park... the continued investment is pretty impressive.

Just need to find somewhere for a huge multi-storey car park for fan use. & a monorail.

I've heard it's on hold due to the university building more accomodation for 2000+ which will be cheaper to rent.
Given the current state of play with many Universities I believe the plan may change. Now it is different ownership Tony may buy it. Barber was on record as saying watch this space when asked last summer.

Both unis are broke due to lower enrolment numbers of undergrads and are releasing loads of staff.

The premium wide steps - round the way - are for AMEX card owners only ! Have you seen them ? :)
And what about the lift ? i think its a tenner a trip.
If they can build / afford the car park how about a couple of lifts/escalators at either end of the West Stand for supporters ? Looking at the age of a lot of the supporters on the West Stand Upper concourse at present I give it about a couple of seasons more and there will be a huge drop off of season ticket holders up there as we are all to old to get up the stairs ( me included !)

For those who go to the away games do grounds such as Newcastle / Spurs / Arsenal have stairs only for the Upper Stands ?

just need to add the tunnel out other side of this car park which will lead to new women's stadium  where the rugby pitch is ...

usage 50 times per year - so 19 PL games, say 12 cup games and other events - 19 women's team games to make the 50

i know nothing. just a guesstimate
Was just trawling this thread to see if anyone had suggested this. Seems more than a coincidence

Why not dig below the stadium 100m and have a fans car park too! Whilst they're at it they could go another 100m and have a full go karting experience like at Spurs!

Why do you think that? The Bennett family realise they made a mistake?
Sorry I meant the club, they made a mistake in not buying it from the Bennett’s initially although now there is planning permission for student flats it would be very difficult to turn down a future application for a hotel/offices for example.

Did the club have a chance to buy it? Was it for sale previously ?

I thought the club never had the chance to buy it or the Bennetts were holding out for a ridiculous sum of money, which maybe they finally got from the student housing company.

Downing (the developer) bought it in January 2024 for £16.65m. Nice little earner for Mr Bennett

not unheard of for developers to do nothing for years with land they have purchased - see Burgess Hill half demolished shopping centre

No idea on feasability of adding in that to an existing building (unlikely is my guess but i'm not an architect)
And yep. There's escalators at some grounds - eg: Spurs. (and the O2 , and Wembley) which is nice.
But most have stairs.

There actually are lifts in the West Stand but they are service lifts - but you can use them for emergencies.
When the mobility of my Dad became an issue -then a long standing WSU ST holder - the club found him (and me) tickets in the ESU where there are lifts available to fans / those that struggle with stairs. I'm still there. !
