After the Newcastle match I took my 8 year old nephew to the bit where the players car park is, to the right of the Terrace, and was pleasantly surprised to see a few players breaking the non-signing and non-selfie ruling – JPVH and Jason Steele to name a few – all signing away and selfies galore.

But the biggest rule breaker of all... was our Fab! Who spent a good 15 minutes walking the temporary barriers, signing autos and posing for every selfie he was asked of (including my nephew – who was esctastic). Barbs won't like it, but I had a new level of respect for these three in particular after this. Made a lot of kids (and adults) very happy.:clap2:
I doubt it’s a rule. More like gives the players an option if they don’t feel up to it, need to get away, etc, etc

Maybe. I thought there was a club comms piece basically stating no selfies/signing stuff at all now as a result of a few aggressive idiots at Lancing and a few professional Ebay muppets?

Yes, but if a player wants to do it it’s probably up to them. It is a shame that it’s been ruined by the greedy and selfish. I remember how good it felt to get a “prize” autograph when I was a youngster, even if it was a Div 4 player!

Getting slagged off on FB mainly due to keeping the toffs away from the peasants but also mention of the kids not getting autographs from the players. I get the kids love this and nobody has ever been hurt or worse but unfortunately that is the way of live now. Anyway, unless the have a private road as well, they won't get out any quicker than anyone else, surely?

Could the extra spaces for players Cars etc free up more room for the P&R coaches to turn around & leave the car park more quickly ?
The players cars park the other side of the railway line behind the Terrace (where the lefthand P is on this screenshot). You're not getting any P&R coaches down there as it currently is. However if they could get an entrance/exit to that site from the A27 it would be a great location for a coach park.

Appreciate it is needed but using the fact they have lost the use of Bennetts field a bit rich when this was never owned by them. Will go to the expense of this but not willing to put a cover over P&R steps
yes p & r cover would demonstrate respecting fans here
