As stated earlier, anything by Dylan, just don't get it and also anything by Abba, the grating nasal " Harmonies " and mispronounced English lyrics

I love Bowie, near enough from the eponymous album to Black star.

Possibly my least favourite of the Berlin trilogy is Low.
It’s okay, but, it isn’t as good as Heroes or Lodger. IMO, obviously.

It’s still a lot better than Never let me down, and Earthling, neither of which I like for different reasons.

Of his later albums, Heathen is my favourite, but, the best Bowie album is Hunky Dory, always been just about my favourite album ever.

As someone who dismissed Earthling upon its release, there’s a surprising number of tracks on it that I now number among my favourite Bowie tracks. It may have been written with collaborators, but it’s aged incredibly well. IMHO

Oh man, that's a hard position to support..... DARK Side..and Wish You Were Here are just iconic, surely?!... anyone over 50 would surely have those tracks in their heart somewhere.

I probably should have clarified that I do enjoy Pink Floyd. Wish You Here is a highlight and they've definitely influenced so many bands I really enjoy.

But I'd rather listen to those bands than Pink Floyd

Agree about the Lamb, I prefer “Selling England by the Pound“ but must admit I skip “The Battle of Epping Forest” as it far too wordy for me.

I also love their 'boyband' pop early years stuff too. If I Fell is a stone cold classic and I will fight anyone who disagrees.

Yep. The Fabs are actually underrated. Their absolute ubiquity means we take them for granted. They'll be lauded as they should be centuries from now

As with a few bands mentioned on this thread' not liking the Beatles is one thing, not rating what they did shows a lack of understanding. See also Dylan's lyrics and Floyd's atmosphere.

If I am honest I can rate Queen's song writing and populist pop posturing. Freddy was a great front man. I just don't like it.

Under 20 seconds of peak Bob Dylan has more going on, and more going for it, than some perfectly acceptable artist's entire careers.

From a band that I do rate (highly) and enjoyed seeing live back in 1979. I bought Live at Leeds as it was described as the best live LP ever. It's not. Side one is fine but too short and side two only has two songs, including 15 minutes of My Generation (mixed with numerous other tracks).

My son pinched it off me, played it and then returned it. He didn't do that with any of the other LPs he pinched off me!
