might be better chance of a loan to us than Arsenal buying. eitherway, i reckon we can definatly expect this calibre of players from Oscar's contacts.

If we get only ONE player of that calibre, we'll be waving goodbye to the Championship and hello toe the Premier.

As much as l would welcome it l wouldn't get too carried away. The quality of Matej Vydra?, I don't think so, not initially anyway. The kid is only 19 remember so he won't be hitting the ground running so to speak. It will take him a while to adjust to the physicality and the pace of the English game.
 Give yourself a slap, no one deserves to be that dull.

Perhaps, but I suspect that Barcelona might not feel easy on giving one of their young talents to a Premier League club, history shows that they would maybe try to poach him and 'turn his head'.

They might see Oscar as a safe 'guardian', where he can genuinely continue his development within an agreeable footballing environment and there is a probable mutual trust between each club. ( Brighton and Barcelona, couldnt have muttered that a few years back !! )

So unless they want to sell, it seems feasible to me.

I admire your optimism. Vicente was a big signing but this would be off the scale (as would a partnership of trust with Barcelona!!)
Either way, he's with the Spanish U-20s at the moment so won't find out for a while.

Not saying it will happen, just pointing out that if its a loan deal Barca feel he needs then it has some merits.

IF this happened and I was a Brighton fan I would be wetting myself at the prospect. Everyone knows how good this boy is and he can only improve with experience. This would make me think of you as one of the favourites for promotion, the only reason I cannot see it happening is that if premier league clubs want him then why would he not go there. The thing in your favour though is that Barca may want him coached/brought on a certain way and know that Oscar can provide that.
Good luck

Deulofeu & Ulloa v Newport. I'd go home win.

Deulofeu & Ulloa in the championship. I'd go title winners.

The surprises the Albion have regularly given us the last few seasons I would be loathe to dismiss this out of hand. There are some very valid points being made against his loan to any premier league club and other than being in the premier league we tick all the boxes to secure his services. Regular football of a high standard coached by one of their own with an already Spanish flavour and style in a lovely environment and stadium playing to crowds of 30000. We would also out-zaha palace as he is worth at least 150 million croydon pounds.(Not sure of the exchange rate between pounds sterling and pounds croydon but think its about 4 croydons to the pound)
