I should imagine 6 days to go until UKIP are confirmed along with the greens, due to voting numbers as major players in general election thinking as opposed to sideline acts in protest european and council elections.Number of seats are not important, voting numbers are for the parties outside the main two.

Im sure it annoys the hell out of a stuck in the mud 60 year old socialist like you but why not move with the times Dave,The old party system is dead and those parties on the fringe like UKIP and Greens are directly influencing the policy of the major 2 players. You obviously hate this but i get the feeling socialist dinosaurs like you have had their day anyway and no one really gives a crap anymore how miffed people like you might be feeling.

Who needs a raft of seats when the main 2 parties will change their policies anyway to counter the new political threat........job done by stealth!

Yes, im incredibly annoyed that UKIP may retain one seat, especially as that will destroy the 'old system'. Keep your dream of voting numbers being tmore important, and thanks for providing Looneys answer for him. Its touching.

I agree, but at the same time I think it would be true to say that Islamophobia is a particular problem. Nobody has felt the need to coin the word Sikhophobia yet.

No they havnt, they havnt needed either to coin

Christianophobia,Yazidiophobia,Hinduophobia,Jewphobia,Buddophobia,Shintophobi or even Mormonophobia also

Why is that?

Its almost as if the religion of Islam has a problem

ISIS throwing another Gay person from the top of a building again, and if the poor individual wasn't suffering enough they stoned him at the end. I just can't imagine what this poor bloke must have gone through RIP. Is it any wonder why people fear some parts of this religion. What a truly horrifying, disgusting, sad world we now live in these days. It makes me wonder where this country is heading where the EU is heading where our own politicians seem to be so disconnected with the reality.

In London village.
I think Dandyman expects UKIP can mount a campaign with no backers. These are people that want to back UKIP, unlike many Union members that pay their subs and do not agree with cash being given to Labour......as stated the Unions are Labours biggest contributors, but that ok eh.

Clueless as ever. To take part in political activity unions are required by law to maintain a political fund. This can be split into an affiliated political fund which can contribute to a given political party and a general fund which has no link to any party but is used for campaigning. Members can contribute to both, either or none.

Companies by contrast can back political parties without having to have a set fund, consult shareholders and hold any sort of vote.

Its starting to make some sense now.

If you outlaw Islamophobia then perhaps criticising Labour MP`s Dromey Byrne and Watson at this hustings meeting in Birmingham trying to gain muslim voters would be deemed Islamophobic

Im sure the party of female equality has a good reason why the hustings was subject to gender segregation

what price a vote eh?

Just more proof, not that we need it, that Milliband is totally unelectable. Complete buffoon
