Loyalty Robbie Keane who has cosmically supported every team he has played for as a boy - including LA Galaxy and Coventry!!

Committment-'I could not fault the lads committment out there today'. They are paid to be committed.

The football club-'Since I've been at the football club' 'I'm the man to take this football club forward'. Do we need to be told they are talking about a football club? Much loved phrase of a certain Micky Adams.

That classic phrase that managers often utter when they've just signed a new player: i.e. He gives us something different.

No shit?

We played too much football at times. As if playing snooker on the football pitch would have resulted in victory.

In a crater in the sea.
Jamie Redknapp....

"These balls now - they literally explode off your feet."

"He's literally left Ben Haim for dead there."

"Peter Schmeichel will be like a father figure to Kasper Schmeichel."

"Steven Gerrard makes runs into the box better than anyone. So does Frank Lampard."

"Roy Hodgson has never worked with top, top players."

The specific quality of being a '[BShot Stopper[/B]' when referring to a goalkeeper.

Surely they all need this to warrant getting out of bed in the morning.

Not meaningless , bit I've never seen appurtenances used outside of a footballing context

Actually I've never heard it in a footballing context (can you provide an example?) but have typed it many a time in property contracts.

Anyway, my contribution is "role model".
