Is Maty Ryan the first player since Leo Ulloa to leave the Albion and play regularly for a “bigger” club or at least one higher in the table ?

Connor Goldson and Leon Balogen both went to Rangers.........questionable

It’s a shame some things were said, and some things happened, towards the end, because overall Maty has been a great ambassador for our club, on and off the pitch.
If we get our £5m back for him, then that’s a good deal all round.
He deserves to leave with everyone’s best wishes.

That is far too sensible, I am sticking with crybaby :lolol:

He has learnt so much at Arsenal.....

Like bench warming :)

Football fans don't like players who leave on their own terms, they should only be discarded like an old fag packet once used up and be gracious about it too. Stockdale is in the same camp for me. Great servants that came to the end of their journey because the club changed direction and chose to pursue their career elsewhere where they could get more game-time/security/career progression.

Good luck to him, but as always, hope he's awful if he ever plays us again.

Mat Ryan opens the door to Arsenal stay as the on-loan Brighton keeper admits he has had 'a blast' and 'learned so much at the Emirates, with the Australian star 'excited for what the future will bring'

Would be a great solution for everyone.

He's not going to outcompete Sanchez, the club would perhaps have a difficult time getting rid of him (or anyone else on a PL contract) and Arsenal probably wont find a much better/cheaper/more proven backup keeper.

Conspicuous by his absence of 'liking' any of Robert's Spain call up social media posts. But happy to post about his new Arsenal mates and what a great spell he had with him ???
