Is it an easy walk from Marseille Airport to Vitrolles train station?

And can you just scan your trainline app ticket to get through the barrier (or do you have to collect paper tickets)?

What I LOVE about this especially as someone who has spent some money going to the game is that RDZ will be extra fired up now
Have you watched de zerbi cam for Bournemouth? He's always extra fired up!

Shoreham-a-la-mer
I’m on the 1pm flight from Stansted, leaving Shoreham by sea at 8.30am next Wednesday, planning to arrive and park up next to the Terminal by 10.30 traffic permitting.

Room for 2/3 from SBS/Southwick area if anyone is struggling and wants a free lift to Stansted for that flight. I’m afraid I already have a full car returning back on the Friday though.

In the words of someone recently, no nobbers!

PM if interested.

You have no hope, table is a feminine noun in French and therefore une table is the correct phrase.
Keep your girly French tables, they’re masculine here.

I think you get a shuttle from the airport to the station then train to St Charles. ( €5.10 about 20 mins)

@FloatLeft : this certainly isn't an easy walk and really isn't a walk at all. Expect interchanges motorways all along the 3 kms. There's a free shuttle. Which theoretically should ask you for your train tickets before letting you in. Now we talk of Marseille and the theoretical things are just that...

The easiest way to get from the airport is the shuttle. Those run every fifteen minutes. They cost 10€ (not 5.10 ... that was duh ... a long long time ago). Discounts if you buy a return ticket, for groups, for U26 etc... Still expensive but expect a 25/30 min ride to St-Charles station. You will be in the proper center. With connections to the metro etc... certainly not the most enjoyable part of the center but central stations are not known for their poshness. The train would certainly drop you there too. Should be cheaper too. we locals don't think of it as an option. Unreliable and slow.

Booked all flights accomodation today, and if theres still anyone who hasnt yet, still some reasonably affordable ways.

The easyjet/ryanair/BA Marseille london flights are now super expensive. much of Nice from London too.

We're going Stansted - Nimes with Ryanair on Wednesday return Saturday - its the nearest airport to Marseille and just £17 each way. 3 day car hire from airport £69, apartment £140 and going to park right next to Place de Joilette on matchday in Q park, 26 euros for 24hours.
Stansted parking, return Flights, 3 days car, excess insurance, 3 nights accom, parking in Marseille and only about £180 each (2 of us) + spending.

If anyone is still looking, the flights to Nimes (90 mins in car or about 1 hour 20 on train and £12 each way) are still available. If you need to be back on friday, theres flight Stansted Carcasonne Wed-Fri 9:40am) is about same price, though its about 3hours 15 drive to/from Marseille. Live in midlands/west country/wales, Bristol/Beziers (2 1/2 hours drive) is Wed-Fri decent times and cheap. Or you could fly Stansted Nimes on Wednesday, train into Marseille and on Friday fly Marseille Edinburgh Ryanair, arrive after midday, 6 hours in Edinburgh city, then Edinburgh Stansted later in evening. thats about £110.

safe trip all !
