This guy lost a kidney playing Aussie Rules at the highest level and was able to come back and play.
And if you can play on with one kidney in Aussie Rules you can sure as hell do it the softer, less contact sport of Football.

Totally agree. Jim's injury just about sums up this wretched season. Damn thing's CURSED.

Blimey! Just read that. I take back what I said earlier on in the thread. I was obviously wrong.
It would seem that you can quite clearly play with just the one kidney. However I should imagine he is considered 'high-risk' unless he gets a transplant. I mean, imagine if he has a similar incident on the pitch and does the same thing to his other (and now only) kidney!
It doesn't bare thinking about

Shit me, someone should tell Jimmy Mac as this 'completely fabricated' story has obviously got through to the doctors who have in fact gone and removed his kidney!! It's on the official site too.. I think you owe someone an apology.
