Blimey those goals really show how quick he is and how good he is at keeping the ball under control when running at full pelt. He will get a lot of free kicks!

Getting free kicks would be no good to us if you see how bad we are at set piece delivery in general.

Anchiebe being similar to BZ and Hemed would not change the style but would be an ideal like for like replacement in a game.

Just a mighty shame that we're lacking a deadball specialist à la David Lopez.

Just contacted a mate in Manchester who is a ST at Manure, he said "Quick and a natural goalscorer but a bit light weight for me. Very bright future though."

Similar feedback from a similar source who said: 'bloody fast!!!! Good player...might not be tough enough for the Championship...but I reckon he could get you goals'

I would sooner we sign Wilson but at the moment we have noting to bring on from the bench to get a goal if BZ starts Anchiebe has scored 9 in 47 since joining West Brom not brilliant but better than we have for the next few weeks till January.. They may even persuade Pocognolli the left back to sign the same loan.

wether we loan or buy i am praying we get someone who knows where the net is. the last player we had like that was zamora first time round.

you set your sights very low. maybe knight. but none of the others are players who, as far as i'm concerned 'knew where the net is'! in the amex period in particular we have created so many opportunities only to leave us with our heads in our hands because we yet again didn't 'have a go' or missed a good chance!!

Maybe Knight?

Bamford aside just how many LOAN signings get goals?

Usually you have to spunk a wedge of cash, ala Murray/Ulloa

Yeah I was looking at loans only

Don't think Knight was a loan? I'd say Owusu & Rougier certainly knew where the net was...!?

I'm not saying I don't rate him but he's just signed a 4 year deal with United.

Best case scenario is he scores at hatful and we get promoted, but then he'll almost certainly go back to Man Utd. I'm uncomfortable with losing a key striker over the summer; the likes of Callum Wilson, Matt Ritchie, Troy Deeney, Ighalo, Cameron Jerome were big players in the Championship last season and still important for their sides in the Prem.

With James Wilson, Bobby, Hemed and Baldock we could get promoted and have no strikers of Prem quality on our books. I know it's nice to be in the Prem but Hughton has already said it wasn't ideal having to recruit as many as 9 players over this summer so he might have to recruit 4 strikers alone next summer.

I'd rather sign someone who was proven at this level or higher who will stick around.

Which is why Calleri would be so good, however unlikely. Perhaps Bolanos might be the answer too, but that one's far more of a might.
