It's good to see the decent, honest, well-run clubs take a stand. All power to Nottingham Forest taking it to UEFA over this. That’s really not going to help Palaces cause!
On what grounds exactly?
Sorry, I've not been fully keeping up at the back.
That's what you take from what I posted? So you think his report was biased and unprofessional?
Yup. Any club involved in multi club ownership needs to be prepared for this type of conflict of interest. Can you imagine Bloom and Barber not having this level of foresight and forward planning? So essentially, as soon as your club has qualified for the fifth round of the cup or are not fighting relegation come the middle to end of February, you need to put shares in any other European club into a blind trust or sell them? Then if you don't qualify, buy them back if you can?

I thought it was a useful contribution. I know of some of his work but it's useful to know he rarely misfires. Not good news, but useful.I think the AI concluded that he's not been wrong about a lot, to be fair.
The Times one is behind a paywall, but here's the summary from SportBible:The Times reporting that Forest have written to UEFA.
The Times is sure it’s going to end up into Court of Arbitration for Sport.
If Palace lose their place, they will do it, if they win, Forest will do it.
Exactly. They have been operating with an unfair advantage over the other clubs who played by the rules all season. This was always going to happen wasn’t it. Forest and Brighton owners changed to comply with the rules. Not our fault that palace did not. If you don’t sign up to the rules then don’t play in the comp. Simple as that really.

A good strategy IMO. I've done similar. You get compensated if things go wrong. It works like any other form of insurance. The Kieran Maguire who tells us that he routinely places bets against Albion (and for Palace to win the FA Cup) as an emotional hedge...?
