That doesn't answer the question. Palace didn't cheat to win the FA Cup, VAR messed up, that's not Palace's fault at all. If Palace don't get into Europe it's because of admin incompetence, and fair enough (and not a huge surprise).
'Southwick'

Agree about incompetence of CPFC2010 - I guess a club that's only 15 years old still has a lot to learn.

Anyway, please explain to to me the term 'South London & Proud'

If you're all so 'proud' of South London, why do so many want to live in Sussex?

He didn't. But the ref bottling it by not giving Henderson a red for his clear handball outside the box did.

A lot of talk about that VAR mistake and very little about the dubious penalty that City received to make up for it. Tyrick Mitchell clearly gets a touch on the ball & Bernardo Silva is clearly already diving before the challenge went in. Besides, it's not a guarantee that we'd have gone on to lose that game even if Henderson was sent off. Sometimes, I've heard, teams can even have TWO players sent off and still manage to win... :moo:

I've only just worked out why it would be disqualification and we qualify, rather than Palace swapping with Forest. Lyon could still be relegated to the conference after the first round and Palace could get through the first round.
(In case anyone else is still confused)

There is no demotion at the end of the League stage anymore, you either go through to the knock out stage (1st-8th) go into the knock out phase play-off round (9th-24th) or are eliminated (25th and below).

The reason Palace can’t go into the Conference League is because one of their other owners has shares in Danish side Brondby who have qualified for that competition.

As Brondby finished higher in their domestic league Palace would also miss out there as well for the same reason Lyon get preference for the Europa League.

If Carlsberg did a European qualification route in my eyes
I agree. Qualifying by winning a cup but finishing in the bottom half of the table (as in the case of Palace and Spurs) feels like more of a back-door entry to me!

Hopefully a statto will be along shortly to confirm how many times in recent seasons 8th in the PL has = European qualification..

The penalty that was saved by the player who shouldn't have been on the pitch?

I'll be honest - you've not convinced me that things evened up in any way.

8th place has never been a qualification place before as we’ve only had 7 European places as standard. This season 8th had/has a potential qualification place due to the extra Champions League spot.

Teams finishing 8th have qualified before, like Man United last season, but that is because the team finishing in 8th has won a cup, meaning someone above them has missed out (Newcastle who finished 7th last season for example).

Can you explain how Textor's ownership nonsense influenced Palace winning the FA Cup?
It didn't. But to qualify you need to meet the criteria set out under the rules. Clearly this is in dispute at best.

How so?
Actually winning something should be rewarded
