Because we sign players for the future and never see them in the Stripes.....loaned out straight away in the shop window to sell on......although they lost today, City brought on a 19 year old Argentinian player they signed las January and loaned back to the selling club until January......Barco is agreat example, outcast, sent off from pillar to post..............
I hope the truth about why Barco didn’t make it here comes out at some point because it’s incredible how many people consider his story an indictment of our transfer policy. Not all signings come good, it’s not rocket science

Are we? All we care about is profit, developing players for the future and selling them on.
face it we have now entered a crossroads and do we shit and bust for next season?!

A Slightly more serious response than I was expecting to be fair

All the football sites on Facebook are unbearable…..
The fawning from all the other club supporters makes you 🤮
Awful.
Only marginally less annoying are the small number of “voice of reason” Albion fans!

You’d have to say Man City were total dross today. An aging guileless team with aged tactics, they really should have been in a walking football competition.
Their manager’s time has passed. The age of 937 completed passes with only 37 of them necessary is hopefully ending; 80% possession is pointless without it leading somewhere.

Please don’t start me on VAR.

Reminds me of the time when Pep was at Bayern and he had an aging squad then, he jumped ship. It ain't happening this time, but only if he knows City are facing something dire in their 115 charges?

'Voice of reason??'

I've seen some responses which have been embarrassing tonight!!!
Total Understandable if youre an Albion fan to be pssed off.
Some are bothered too much but better that than praise p*lace or say it doesn’t matter anyway, life is short etc.

Can we just be clear about today, it is our fault, not Palace winning the cup that has fecked our chances of European football. This was the last chance saloon and we left via the window to much mirth in the Palace fan filled saloon :lolol:

This is the worst thing to happen to our club since losing the Goldstone.

Those fukken helmets were nauseating enough thinking they were something special. The smugness will now be off the scale.

They basically won a competition that nobody else bothered with.

Hurrah for antifootball.

Rivalry done and dusted now, we can just revert back to the losers we are for the rest of time.

On the plus side Barber might get a few less slots on Talksport to tell the world what a well run club we are.

What a load of rubbish. We need to make sure we win a trophy next. Our time will come.

We've never even scored a goal at New Wembley.. we shit our pants in every big game. Not happening. We're a club run with the balance sheet in mind (and the CEOs annual pay rise) rather than winning anything.

Could be a lot worse, of course. But imho our time already has come, we sold the family silver and the board once again couldn't hack a manager with personality who dared to challenge them to actually win something. We're already on the way back down. Still, at least we might sell a few 19 year olds for £30 million.

True, we could still be at Withdean and League 2.

I’ll take being an established top 10 PL loser club though

On the down side I have been to watch the Albion at Wembley 5 times and we haven’t won once
