De Zerbi was very all or nothing, wasn't he? If we weren't all over an opponent, we knew we were probably going to get battered. The Forest game aside, maybe Brentford away, we've rarely looked like getting smashed this season. Under RDZ, we had a fair few games where you were watching through your fingers from a couple of minutes in for fear we were just going to implode. Somehow, it feels like we're defensively less fragile (I say somehow because I still think our defence is weaker than most of the top half's) under FH.

I’m no statistician but I’d say neither has had enough games to really draw a conclusion - another couple of seasons with fab and we will know whether he should be in or out, in the meantime we can all practice the Hokey Cokey again in a few months.

Maybe a little bit.

If you ignore RDZ’s first 5 games while he was getting his ideas bedded in he got 47 points from 27 games, which is a 1.74 ppg average.
The mere suggestion that RDZ was not God is enough to set some people off!

(To anyone of religious persuasion, apologies - no intent to demean the Big Fella up there).

Not in terms of league position.

Not knocking Fab though subs today spot on, clearly learning.

It’s silly to get into another manager debate.
But when RDZ took over, we were fourth, and ended up sixth.

He then took us from sixth to eleventh at the end of the next season.

FH has then taken us from eleventh to eighth.

But the league is over 38 games not 13.
We were also top under RdZ the following season, but the above applies to that as well.

Chelsea away as well, Palace and Villa at home, I think defensively this is the most fragile we’ve looked for some time.

Also, evidenced by the number of goals we’ve conceded

Don't quite follow your argument.

Over this full season of 38 games, FH has outperformed RDZ's 38 game [last] season in league position.

And in RDZ's first [almost full] season he took us down two places overall from where we were when he took over.

Yes last season, can’t argue with that….

The first season was a third of a season old, it is far harder taking over a team mid-season than it is during a preseason.

If RdZ had a full preseason that first year he may have done even better.

To finish 6th was an amazing achievement, he was also top last season early in.

Incredible the ingenuity of some fans in coming up with new ways to shit on RDZ, a manager who brought us some brilliant times and played the best football I’ve seen from a Brighton team.

We now expect such a manager to come in first week because some other guy ditched us, not having ever worked with any of the players before, having had no pre season to work on his tactical plans, and just be brilliant from the first second. Funny that! Hilarious even

It is not about shitting on RDZ in the slightest. It is about having some respect for the current manager who has done as well as, if not, even better.
